The excellent communication and educational effects of acting can be usefully utilized in the church ministries such as sermons and worship services. However, the idea that the church service itself can be seen as actors’ performance causes resistance. This is because there is a perception that acting is essentially a non-essential work that exposes fictional characters. However, intentional acting performed in high quality through theater reveals truth that is more vivid than in everyday life. Christians are called to be worshipers because they have roles to play in God's drama. Christians are those who have been given the mission to reveal their true human existence by going beyond the daily life defined by the world and taking on the roles entrusted to them. Therefore, becoming an excellent actor is much related to being a true worshiper. This paper introduces Stanislavski's “An Actor Prepares” which can be considered a classic textbook on acting, and applies the attitude and capabilities an actor must have to the journey of devotion for Christians to become true worshipers. To accept the new identity of worshiper, to worship in spirit and truth, to run the race of faith at every moment of life, to be opened toward divine grace through mundane lives, and to embraces others in the world can be achieved when Christians get training to become great actors.

연기가 지닌 탁월한 의사소통과 교육의 효과는 설교나 예배 등 교회의 사역 현장 에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 그런데 교회의 예배 자체를 배우의 연기로 볼 수 있 는지의 여부는 거부감을 불러일으키는 접근이기도 하다. 이는 연기가 근본적으로 허 구의 인물을 드러내는, 아주 필수적이지는 않은 작업이라는 인식이 있기 때문이다. 하 지만 연극을 통해 탁월한 수준으로 의도적인 이뤄지는 연기는 일상보다 더 강력한 진 실을 드러낸다. 그리스도인이 예배자로 부름받은 것은 하나님의 드라마에 참여하는 배역을 맡게 된 것이다. 그리스도인은 세상이 규정하는 일상을 넘어서 맡겨진 배역을 감당함으로 참된 인간 존재를 드러내는 사명을 받은 자들이다. 따라서 탁월한 연기자가 되는 것 은 참된 예배자가 되는 것과 결코 무관하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문은 연기 연출의 고전적 교과서라 할 수 있는 스타니스랍스키의 『배우수업』을 소개하며 연기자가 탁월한 연기자가 되기 위해 갖춰야 할 자세와 역 량을 그리스도인이 참된 예배자가 되기 위한 헌신의 여정에 적용해 본다. 그리스도인 이 예배자라는 새로운 정체성을 받아들이고, 영과 진리를 추구하며, 삶의 모든 순간에 믿음의 경주를 감당하고, 일상을 통해 주어지는 하나님의 은총에 열려서 타인과 세상 을 품는 삶을 사는 것은 배우라는 하나님의 부르심에 온전히 순종할 때 성취될 수 있다.
