The purpose of this study was to analyze the curriculum and mathematics textbooks from the 1st mathematics curriculum to the 2022 revised mathematics curriculum in relation to rounding, and to provide implications for textbook development and the design of teaching and learning methods to guide students. With each revision of the mathematics curriculum and mathematics textbooks, rounding has exhibited significant changes in the area, terminology(round numbers, round values, approximate value), unit names and introductory context, definitions and the application of rounding. Through analysis of these contents, the following conclusions were presented. First, there is a need for clarification of terminology related to rounding numbers, round values and approximate value. Second, students need to distinguish between the meaning of rounding and the method of rounding. Third, Students need the experience of comparing and distinguishing between the true value and the approximate value. Fourth, it is necessary to clearly present the context for introducing rounding in the curriculum and textbooks, highlighting why rounding is required. Finally, rounding classes can be used as a major material to improve mathematical communication skills.

본 연구는 반올림과 관련하여 1차 수학과 교육과정부터 2022 개정 수학과 교육과 정까지 교육과정과 수학교과서를 분석하여 교과서 개발 및 학생들을 지도하기 위 한 교수·학습 방법을 구안하는데 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 반올 림은 우리나라 수학과 교육과정 및 수학교과용 도서가 개정될 때마다 영역, 용어 (어림수, 어림값, 근삿값), 단원명과 도입 맥락, 정의하기, 반올림의 활용과 관련하 여 많은 변화를 보여왔다. 이러한 내용의 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 제시하 였다. 첫째, 어림수, 근삿값, 어림값에 대한 용어 정리가 필요하다. 둘째, 반올림의 의미와 반올림하는 방법을 구분할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 참값과 어림값을 비교하여 구분하는 경험이 필요하다. 넷째, 반올림을 도입하는 맥락을 반올림해야 하는 이유 가 잘 드러나도록 제시할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 반올림 수업은 수학적 의사소통 능력을 향상 시킬 수 있는 주요 소재로 활용할 수 있다.
