This study is a case study to explore the operational status of the community linked education at the community linked innovation school, which has been designated and operated since 2021 as part of the Seoul-type innovation school. Through interviews with elementary school teachers working at the community linked innovation schools, the aspects, difficulties, and efforts to overcome the operation of the community linked innovation school were explored. As a result of the study, it was found that unit schools applied for community linked innovation schools for the purpose of further revitalizing the characteristics of existing school with an abundant budget. And they made changes in terms of member satisfaction or school-village cooperation through community linked education focusing on culture art and ecology. However, in the process of operating the community linked curriculum, there were difficulties such as teachers' lack of understanding of the village, lack of curriculum linkage, paradox of autonomy, continuity problems due to member replacement, difficulties in establishing governance, and lack of transportation. The aspect of overcoming these difficulties was different depending on the unit school. Based on the above research results, policy implications for more effective operation of the community linked innovation school and community linked education were presented.

본 연구는 서울형혁신학교의 일환으로 2021년부터 지정되어 운영되고 있는 마을결합혁신학교(지역연계혁신학교)의 마을연계교육 운영 실태를 탐색하기 위한 사례연구이다. 마을결합혁 신학교에 재직 중인 초등교사들과의 면담을 통해 마을연계교육 운영의 양상과 어려움, 극복 노력에 대해 탐구하였다. 연구결과, 단위학교는 추가적인 예산을 지원 받아 기존의 학교 특색 을 보다 활성화하기 위한 목적으로 마을결합혁신학교를 신청하여, 문화예술과 생태 분야를 중점으로 한 마을연계교육 운영을 통해 구성원 만족도나 학교-마을 간 협력 관계 측면에서 성과를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 마을연계교육과정을 운영하는 과정에서 교사의 마을 이해 부족, 교육과정 연계 부족, 자율성의 패러독스, 구성원 교체에 따른 지속성 문제, 거버넌스 구축의 어려움, 교통편 미흡 등의 어려움이 나타나고 있었다. 이상의 연구결과를 토 대로 마을결합혁신학교와 마을연계교육을 보다 효과적으로 운영하기 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다.
