The college period is a pivotal stage in career development and can be considered a transitional phase in life, corresponding to the emerging adulthood, where individuals prepare for independence as members of society. In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the modern world is facing rapid societal changes, where job opportunities are disappearing. With the prolonged effects of COVID-19 and economic downturns, youth unemployment rates are steadily rising. Due to the persistent difficulty in finding employment, the importance and pressure of career exploration and job preparation are intensifying for college students. They experience significant changes and instabilities while exploring potential and adapting in various areas such as academics, career choices, interpersonal relationships, and personal conduct. Given these environmental changes, it is becoming increasingly recognized that psychological factors for overcoming adversity through specific actions are essential for college students in finding a career path that fits their aptitude. In the face of such persistent employment challenges, grit and resilience are gaining attention as factors that can drive achievement beyond innate talent for college students preparing their careers with passion and perseverance. Grit and resilience are characteristics that can be acquired rather than innate, playing a vital role in setting long-term specific goals. Grit refers to continuously striving with passion and persistence to achieve goals, while resilience can be described as the psychosocial traits of an individual that allows them to overcome difficult situations and achieve successful adaptation. Among various psychological variables, the reasons studies on grit and resilience stand out are because of their positive impact on not giving up amidst adversities, failures, and stagnation, and on sustaining efforts over a long period for achieving goals. In essence, in modern society, acquirable non-cognitive abilities are becoming more crucial than innate talents. Thus, research on grit, resilience, and career preparation behaviors, which positively influence college students' career development, and suggestions for reinforcing these are deemed necessary. In this study, the influence of college students' grit on resilience and career preparation behaviors were examined. The findings revealed that grit does impact resilience and career preparation behaviors.

대학생 시기는 진로 발달상의 결정적 시기로 사회인으로서의 독립을 준비하는 성인 진입기 (emerging adulthood)에 해당하는 단계로 삶의 전환기라 할 수 있다. 현대사회는 4차 산업혁명 시대를 맞아 급격한 사회변화로 일자리가 사라지고 코로나19의 장기화와 경제적 불황으로 청년 실업률은 점점 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 지속되는 취업난으로 인해 대학생들에게 진로탐색 및 취업 준비의 중요성과 부담감이 가중되고 있으며, 학업, 진로, 대인관계, 품행 등 여러 영역에서 가능성을 탐색하고 적응하는 과정에서 상당한 변화와 불안정성을 경험하게 된다. 이러한 환경의 변화로 대학생들은 자신의 적성에 맞는 진로를 탐색하기 위해 지속적인 관심을 가지고 구체적인 행동을 통해 역경을 이겨내기 위한 심리 적 요인이 중요하게 인식되어지고 있다. 이처럼 지속적인 취업난의 상황에서 열정과 인내를 가지고 진로를 준비하는 대학생들에게 타고난 재능을 뛰어넘어 성취의 원동력이 되는 요소로 그릿과 회복탄력성이 주목 받고 있다. 그릿과 회복탄력 성은 선천적인 능력보다는 후천적 습득 가능한 특성으로 장기적으로 구체적인 목표를 세우는데 중요한 역할을 하는 요인이라 할 수 있다. 그릿은 열정과 끈기를 가지고 목표를 달성하기 위해 지속적으로 노 력하는 것을 뜻하며, 회복탄력성은 어려운 상황을 잘 극복하고 성공적인 적응을 이루어내는 개인의 심 리사회적 특성이라 할 수 있다. 다양한 심리학적 변인 가운데 그릿과 회복탄력성에 대한 연구가 주목 받는 이유는 목표를 위해 노력하는 과정에서 경험하게 되는 역경, 실패, 정체된 상태에서 겪게 되는 스 트레스에서 포기하지 않고 장기간에 걸쳐 지속적인 노력하기 위해서는 그릿과 회복탄력성이 긍정적인 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 즉, 현대 사회는 타고난 재능보다는 후천적으로 형성되는 비인지 능력이 더욱 중요해지고 있는 상황으로 대학생들의 진로발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 그릿과 회복탄력성, 진로준 비행동에 대한 연구와 이를 강화하기 위한 방안 제시가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학생들의 그릿이 회복탄력성, 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 진 행한 결과, 그릿이 회복탄력성, 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
