The aim of this study is to validate an instrument for measuring the social-emotional competencies of middle school students based on the CASEL social-emotional competencies factors. For this purpose, this study was divided into a preliminary study and a main study based on the WCSD-SECA, and a survey was conducted on middle school students to confirm the 25 items of the K-SECA. In this study, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to ensure the validity of the items. The reliability of the total questionnaire was .914, and the reliability of each subfactor ranged from .723 to .857. The scale was validated using the DERS and the Youth Resilience Scale. The scale had acceptable validity according to the results of the validity tests. Therefore, this study suggests the validity of the WCSD-SECA for domestic use.

본 연구는 CASEL 사회정서역량 요인에 근거하여 중학생들의 사회 정서역량 측정 도구를 타당화 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 WCSD-SECA를 기반으로 예비연구와 본연구로 구분하여 중학 생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 K-SECA 25문항을 확정하였다. 본 연 구에서 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 통해 구인타당도를 확보하 였다. 전체 문항의 신뢰도는 .914이었고, 각 하위요인 별로는 .723∼.857 이었다. 이후 정서조절곤란 척도와 청소년 회복탄력성 척도를 사용하여 공인타당도 검증을 하였다. 타당도 검사 결과 공인타당도가 확보된 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 WCSD-SECA의 국내 활용 타당성을 제안한다.
