This study aims to explore different orders of communication in the process of the local oral history study for local tourism resources development in terms of social research methodology. When entering the postmodern society, researchers of local culture need to pay attention to local oral history which can be developed as one type of tourism resources based on local history and culture. Recently, tourism researchers started to discuss local oral history as a study theme in terms of developing local historical and cultural resources to attract tourists. Also, local communities are trying to discover and develop local culture and tourism content based on local oral history with the region's authenticity that they have overlooked. This study is an exploratory one on how to define the nature of qualitative research methods that are conducted between investigators and subjects in local oral history research in terms of a research methodology. The oral history research through the in-depth interview can be conducted by combining both phenomenological and semiotic research methods. These research methods can play an important role in studying cultural phenomena related to local historical and tourism resources in the postmodern era. This study suggests the need for local tourism resources development using local oral history in order to mitigate and overcome the uneven regional development in Korea. The academic discussion of the research methodologies for local oral history analysis explored in this study is expected to help expand the application of local historical and tourism resources study.

본 연구는 지역관광자원 개발을 위한 지방구술사를 연구하는 과정에서 나타나는 다양한 의사소통의 질서를 사회 연구방법론적 측면에서 탐색적으로 고찰하기 위해 진행되었다. 포스트모던 사회로 진입하면서 지역의 역사문화에 기반을 둔 관광자 원의 한 범주로 발전할 수 있는 지방구술사는 지역문화 연구자들이 주목할 필요가 있는 연구소재이다. 최근 관광 분야에서도 이 연구 주제에 대해 관광객 유치를 위 한 지역 역사문화자원의 개발 측면에서 논의하기 시작했다. 이에 지역공동체에서 도 그동안 간과해오던 지역 고유성을 띤 지방구술사를 통한 지역문화와 관광콘텐 츠의 발견 및 개발에 노력하고 있다. 본 연구는 구술사 연구 과정에서 조사자와 조 사대상자 간 질적연구방법의 본질을 학술적 논의를 통한 연구방법론적 입장에서 어떻게 규정할 수 있을지를 탐색적 연구 과정을 통해 고찰하였다. 심층면접법을 이 용한 구술사 연구는 현상학적 연구방법과 기호학적 연구방법의 결합을 통해 진행 될 수 있다. 이 연구방법론들은 포스트모던 시대의 지역 역사관광자원과 관련한 문 화 현상을 연구하는 데 중요하게 작용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국내의 불균등한 지역 개발 상황을 완화하고 이를 타개할 방법 중 지방구술사 연구를 활용한 지역관광자 원 개발의 필요성을 제시한다. 그리고 본고에서 고찰한 지방구술사 분석을 위한 연 구방법론에 대한 학술적 논의는 관광학 분야에서 지역 역사관광자원 연구의 적용 범위를 확장하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
