The purpose of the study is to comprehensively examine the differences and effects of personal environmental characteristics and suicidal thoughts, including physical activity and academic performance by gender, for middle and high school students in Seoul (boy: 4,210 (50.5%) and girl: 4,127 (49.5%). SPSS 27.0 statistical program was used to analyze the relationship between household economic status, academic achievement, living arrangement, health status, physical activity (normal, high intensity, exercise of muscle), sports activity, sadness and stress, Internet use, and suicidal ideation. In addition, binary logistic regression analysis was conducted by dividing by boy and girl to determine how these various environmental general characteristics affect adolescents' suicidal thoughts. The risk ratio (OR; Odds Ratio) and 95% confidence interval were calculated, and the hypothesis acceptance criterion was p<0.05. Through a specific understanding of factors related to suicidal thoughts, the study is meaningful in preparing a basis for preventing suicide thoughts or suicide attempt plans of male and female middle school students in Seoul city and providing useful data to the educational field.

표본의 대표성이 높은 2019년 제15차 청소년행태 온라인 자료 중 서울특별시 중·고등학생(남자:4,210명 (50.5%), 여자: 4,127명(49.5%))을 대상으로 성별에 따른 신체활동, 학업성적 등을 포함한 개인 환경적 특성과 자살생 각의 차이 및 영향을 종합적으로 검토하는 데 연구목적이 있다. 자료분석은 SPSS 27.0을 이용하였으며 가구경제상태, 학업성취도, 주거형태, 주관적 건강감, 신체활동 여부(평상시, 고강도, 근력), 스포츠 활동, 슬픔 및 스트레스, 인터넷 사용 여부, 자살 생각 여부의 관련성을 알아보기 위해 교차분석을 적용하여 카이제곱 검정을 실시하였다. 또한 이와 같은 다양 한 환경적 일반적 특성들이 청소년의 자살 생각 여부에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 파악하기 위하여 남·여별로 나누어 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시했다. 위험비(OR; Odds Ratio)와 95% 신뢰구간(CI; Confidence Interval)을 산출하였으며 가설 수락 기준은 p<.05로 하였다. 자살생각 관련 요인에 대한 구체적인 이해를 통해 서울특별시 남·여 중·고등학생의 자살생각 또는 자살시도 계획 등을 방지하기 위한 근거를 마련하고 유용한 자료를 교육 현장에 제공하는 데 연구의 의의를 둔다.
