The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of self-esteem and peer attachment in the relationship between local children's center service help and school adjustment. To this end, among the 578 responses from the third-term child panel survey of local children's centers generated by the Korea Youth Policy Institute in 2020, 496 responses were analyzed with a structural equation model, excluding missing ones. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the help of local children's center service had a positive effect on school adaptation. Second, it was verified that self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between service help and school adaptation, as it was found that as the help of the local children's center service increased, self-esteem increased, and as the self-esteem increased, the school adjustment became smoother. Third, it was verified that peer attachment partially mediated the relationship between service help and school adjustment, as it was found that as the help of the local children's center service increased, the attachment to peers increased, and as the attachment to peers increased, the adjustment to school became smoother. Fourth, in the relationship between service help at the local children's center and adaptation to school, it was verified that the help of the service at the local children's center partially mediated the effect on adaptation to school through self-esteem and attachment to peers. Based on these analysis results, suggestions were made on how to improve local children's center services, self-esteem, and peer attachment.

본 연구는 지역아동센터 서비스 도움과 학교적응 관계에서 자아존중감과 또래 애착의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 연구 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2020년 한국청소년정책연구원에서 생성한 지역아동센터 3기 아동패널조사 자 료 578명의 응답 중 결측을 제외하고 496명의 응답을 구조방정식모형으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 지역 아동센터 서비스 도움은 학교적응에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역아동센터 서비스 도움 이 증가할수록 자아존중감이 증가하고, 자아존중감이 증가할수록 학교적응이 원만해지는 것으로 나타나 자아 존중감이 지역아동센터 서비스 도움과 학교적응의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 검증되었다. 셋째, 지역아동 센터 서비스 도움이 증가할수록 또래애착이 증가하고, 또래애착이 증가할수록 학교적응이 원만해지는 것으로 나타나 또래애착이 지역아동센터 서비스 도움과 학교적응 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 검증되었다. 넷째, 지 역아동센터 서비스 도움과 학교적응 관계에서 지역아동센터 서비스 도움이 자아존중감, 또래애착을 거쳐 학교 적응에 미치는 영향을 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 지역아동센터 서비스 개선과 자아존중감, 또래애착 향상 방법에 관해 제언하였다.
