This study explored the direction of improvement of social integration programs for foreign learners who are completing social integration programs among foreigners staying in Korea. The purpose, completion benefits, completion stages, and educational content of the Ministry of Justice's social integration program were examined, and the direction of improvement of the social integration program was suggested based on surveys of foreign learners in Chungnam 3rd base. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is necessary to actively promote social integration programs in the process of screening eligibility for residence. Second, it should secure more time to complete the course and become a more practical learning for the settlement of Korean life. Since the social integration program gives a lot of help to foreigners staying in Korea to settle their lives in Korea, it should be developed into a better program through continuous improvement efforts.

이 연구는 국내 체류 외국인 중 사회통합프로그램을 이수하고 있는 외국인 학습자들을 대상으로 사회통합 프로그램의 개선 방향을 탐색한 것이다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 법무부 사회통합프로그램의 목 적, 이수 혜택, 이수 단계, 교육 내용 등을 살펴보고 충남3 거점 외국인 학습자를 대상으로 사회통합프로그램 의 인지도, 접근성, 학습 목적, 학습을 원하는 분야, 학습 시간, 학습 단계의 적절성, 한국 생활 정착 기여 등의 설문 조사를 기반으로 사회통합프로그램의 개선 방향을 제언하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 체 류 자격 심사 과정에서 사회통합프로그램의 적극적 홍보가 필요하다. 둘째, 이수 시간을 더 확보해서 좀 더 한 국생활 정착에 실제적인 학습이 되어야 한다. 사회통합프로그램은 국내 체류 외국인들에게 한국생활 정착에 많은 도음을 주고 있기 때문에 지속적인 개선 노력을 통해 좀 더 좋은 프로그램으로 발전시켜 나가야 한다.
