The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of secondary multicultural education programs published in Korean journal Articles from the years 2009 to 2022. Four types of research contents were established to achieve the purpose of the study, and data was collected through a database search of the Korea Education & Research Information Service, and as a result, 64 papers were subjects of the final analysis. Frequency and cross-analysis of the collected data were conducted using the Excel program, and research conclusions are as follows. First, an analysis conducted of research trends by year on 64 papers on secondary multicultural education programs from 2009 to 2022 showed that the most were written in 2021, followed by 2014, and 2013. Second, analysis conducted by research topic showed that most were conducted on youth multicultural education programs followed by multicultural art education programs, and by research purpose, they were conducted in the order of development, analysis and implementation. Third, analysis conducted by subject showed the most having been on society, followed by arts and sports, and by research subject, most were conducted on literature and then on students, in that order. Fourth, an analysis of research trends by research type showed they were conducted most as analytical studies followed by quantitative studies, and the most used data collection methods were literary data followed by questionnaires. Thus, future research should continuously discover diverse research topics, research purposes, data collection methods, and research forms for secondary multicultural education programs.

이 연구의 목적은 2009년~2022년 학술지에 게재된 중등 다문화교육 프로그램의 연 구 동향을 분석하는 것이다. 연구목적 달성을 위한 연구내용은 첫째, 2009년~2022년 국내 학술지에 게재된 중등 다문화교육 프로그램 논문의 게재 연도별 연구 동향을 알 아보며, 둘째, 중등 다문화교육 프로그램의 연구 주제 및 목적별 연구 동향을 알아보며, 셋째, 중등 다문화교육 프로그램에 대한 교과별 및 연구대상별 연구 동향을 알아보며, 넷째, 연구방법인 연구형태와 자료수집 방법별 연구의 동향을 분석하고자 한다. 또한, 한국교육학술정보원 데이터베이스 자료검색을 통해 자료를 수집하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과 최종 분석 대상 논문은 64편이었다. 수집된 자료를 Excel 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도 및 교차 분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2009년~2022년 중등 다문화교육 프로그램 관련 64편 논문의 게재 연도별 연구 동향 분석 결과, 2021년, 2014년, 2013년 등의 순이었다. 둘째, 연구주제별 분석 결과, 청소년 다문화교육 프로그램, 다문화 미술교육 프로그램 등의 순이었으며, 연구목적별 로는 개발, 분석 및 실행 등의 순이었다. 셋째, 교과별 분석 결과, 사회, 예체능 등의 순 이었으며, 연구대상별로는 문헌, 학생 등의 순이었다. 넷째, 연구형태별 연구 동향 분석 결과, 분석연구, 양적 연구 등의 순이었으며, 자료수집 방법별로는 문헌자료, 설문지 등 의 순이었다. 이에 향후 연구에서는 중등 다문화교육 프로그램의 다양한 연구주제, 연구 목적, 자료수집 방법, 연구형태를 발굴하여 지속적인 연구 수행이 요구된다.
