The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of viewers' motivations and constraints on their continued viewership intent regarding sports·leisure content on YouTube. Drawing from the research model proposed by Kim & Trail (2010), this study examined the interplay of various factors among 249 participants. The results of the investigation revealed that aesthetic and escapism motivations had positive influence on viewers' intent to continue consuming YouTube content, with intrinsic motivations exerting a more pronounced effect compared to extrinsic motivations. Conversely, social motivation did not significantly influence viewers' intent. Intrinsic constraints, such as duty and alternative interests, were positively associated with viewers' intent, whereas no interest from others which is an external constraint did not yield a significant effect. Moreover, when analyzing the effects on continued viewership intent, both motivations and constraints highlighted the central role of intrinsic factors. These findings underscore the pivotal role played by intrinsic motivations and constraints in the context of sports·leisure spectatorship.

본 연구는 유튜브 스포츠·레저 콘텐츠 지속시청의도에 미치는 시청 동기와 제약의 영향을 조사하는 것에 연구목적을 두었다. Kim & Trail(2010)의 연구 모델을 기반으로 하며, 내재적 제약, 외재적 제약, 시청 동 기의 변수가 사용되었다. 총 249명의 표본을 대상으로 수행되었으며, SPSS와 AMOS를 향해 분석하였다. 그 결과 심미성과 탈출 동기는 유튜브 시청의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 내재적 동기가 외재적 동기보다 더 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 확인되었다. 그러나 사회성 동기는 시청의도에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 내재적 제약인 책무와 대체 흥미는 유튜브 시청의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 주변인 흥미 부재는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 또한, 시청지속의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면, 동기와 제약 모두 내재적 동기가 영향을 미치지만 외재적 동 기는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 내재적 동기와 제약이 스포츠·레저 관람에서 중요 한 역할을 하는 것을 시사하며, 동기와 제약은 상황에 따라 다르게 해석될 수 있음을 강조한다.
