This study starts by paying attention to the ambivalent function of boundaries. It is seen that the border does not just cause a collision between the self and the other or the occurrence of the periphery, but becomes a source of power to realize decentralization and transformation through crossing and cultural exchange between the other and the local. In this study, the stratification of local consciousness that has continued to spread while establishing a dual consciousness structure of ‘center-periphery’ such as Western Europe and non-Europe, metropolitan area and non-metropolitan area, etc. is recognized as problematic. Today’s Korean society is at a point where, in addition to the awareness of the problem of non-communication, helplessness in communication is emerging as a new task. As a current issue of this era, it is inevitable to raise methodological research on crossing and access. Also it is necessary to search for a method of communication between cultures with heterogeneity, and to build a group of data on its realization and experiential effect. In this article, I tried to conceive of such a joint research and social return plan, focusing on the case of communication program design class at C University, and reviewed the effectiveness in advance. In other words, this article will be a review process that identifies what kind of realization aspects can be revealed when the demand for experiencing internal, social, and intercultural dialogue and communication is expressed based on voluntary needs and special life data. In this paper, it is analyzed how the class participants who designed some kind of communication program gained an opportunity for self-reflection and change from this process and derived various effects of access and communication through mutual discussion and participation. This analysis can be used to envision an expanded and circular university function so that universities in each local can be used as a gathering place for speech and emotional communication between local residents and locals beyond a space for classes.

이 연구는 경계의 양가적 기능에 주목하면서 출발한다. 접경이 자아와 타자의 충돌이나 주변부의 발생만 야기하는 것이 아닌, 타자나 지역 간 횡단과 문화교류를 통해 분권과 변용을 실현할 동력의 발생지가 되는 것으로 보고 있는 것이다. 이 연 구에서는 20세기를 관통한 미래주의와 합리적 이성중심의 발달사관에 따라 서구 유럽과 비유럽, 수도권과 비수도권 등 중심-주변의 의식적 구조를 구축하고 단순 이원화된 분기를 거듭해 온 지역 의식의 계층화를 문제적으로 인식하고 있다. 오늘날 한국 사회는 불통에 관한 문제의식에 더해, 소통에 관한 무력감이 새로 운 과제로 대두되는 시점에 놓여 있다. 이러한 시대의 현안으로 횡단과 접속의 방법론적 탐구를 제기하지 않을 수 없으며, 이를테면 이질성을 지닌 문화 간 소통의 방식을 모색하며 그 실현과 체험적 효과에 대한 자료의 일군을 이루어 갈 필요가 있다고 본다. 이 글에서는 C대학의 소통 프로그램 설계 수업 사례를 중심으로 그 러한 공동연구와 사회적 환원의 장을 구상하고 효용성을 예비 검토하고자 하였다. 즉 이 글은 내적ㆍ사회적ㆍ이문화간 대화와 소통을 체험하기 위한 요구가 자발 적 필요와 특수한 삶 데이터에 기반하여 발현될 때 어떠한 구현 양상을 드러낼 수 있는지 사례를 확인하고 그것의 다층적 소통 효과를 살펴보는 과정이 될 것이다. 본문에서는 모종의 소통 프로그램을 설계한 수업 참여자들이 이 과정으로부터 어 떠한 자기성찰적 사유와 변화의 계기를 얻고 상호 토론 및 참여를 통한 다양한 접 속과 소통의 효과를 도출하게 되었는지 분석하고 있다. 이러한 분석은 각 지역의 대학을 수업의 장소에서 나아가 지역민 내지 지역 간 발화와 소통의 집결지로 활 용할 수 있도록 확장적이고 환원적인 대학 기능 구상의 전거로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
