Instead of approaching child abuse victims and runaway adolescents as separate social problems, this study attempted to approach them in a series of ways in which children affected by abuse at home become runaway adolescents. This research data used a total of 5,914 data for the final analysis in the second data of "Study on Youth Housing Rights and Security Measures: Focusing on the Perspective of Social Exclusion" conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute in 2020. Descriptive statistical analysis, frequency analysis, and cross-analysis were conducted using the statistical program of IBM SPSS 28.0ver. Finally, logistic regression analysis was conducted to verify the relationship between child abuse experience and youth runaway experience. Studies have shown that child abuse experience has a significant impact on runaway experience, and physical and indirect abuse exposed to neglect and violence at home as well as physical and emotional abuse has a significant impact on runaway experience. Based on the results of this study, the negative impact of child abuse could be confirmed again through empirical research, and in particular, it can be seen that runaway behavior was confirmed due to negative effects such as neglect and physical indirect abuse. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve awareness that indirect abuse exposed to neglect and domestic violence is also a part of child abuse, and at the same time, it is necessary to re-establish the institutional and legal concept of "out-of-home youth" by recognizing that youth runaway may not be a social problem.

이 연구는 아동학대 피해자와 가출청소년을 별도의 사회적 문제로서 접근하는 것이 아닌, 가정에 서의 학대피해 아동이 가출청소년이 되는 연속 선상에서 접근하고자 하였다. 이 연구자료는 2020년 한국청소년정책연구원에서 수행한 “청소년의 주거권 실태와 보장방안 연구: 사회배제 관점을 중심으 로”의 2차 자료에서 총5,914개의 자료를 최종분석에 활용하였다. 아동학대 경험에 따른 가출 경험의 차이를 분석하기 위하여 IBM SPSS 28.0ver.의 통계프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계분석, 빈도분석, 교차분석을 실시하였으며, 최종적으로 아동학대 경험과 청소년의 가출경험간 의 영향관계를 검증하 기 위하여 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 아동학대 경험이 가출에 유의미한 영향을 미치 는 것으로 나타났으며, 신체적 직접학대, 정서적 학대뿐만 아니라 방임, 가정에서 폭력에 노출되는 신체적 간접학대 역시 가출 경험에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 아동학대의 부정적 영향을 다시금 실증연구를 통해 확인할 수 있었 으며, 특히, 직접적인 학대로 인지하지 못하는 방임과 신체적 간접학대 등의 부정적 영향으로 가출 행동을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었던 것이 연구의 의의가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 방임과 가정폭 력에 노출되는 간접학대도 아동학대의 한 부분임을 인식할 수 있는 인식개선을 위한 노력이 필요하 고, 동시에 청소년의 가출이 단순 비행, 일탈로의 관점에서 접근할 사회적 문제가 아니라 피해아동 이 스스로를 보호하고자 하는 행동일 수 있음을 인지하고, “가정 밖 청소년”이라는 제도적, 법적 개 념을 재정립할 필요가 있다.
