Director Jordan presents a new set of mythologies that collects and organizes the values and philosophies of its members systemically through The Crying Game, which shows political, gender, and sexual conflicts and narratives of modern Ireland. In this paper, along with the coercion of the myth-making and myth-taking process, we argue that the new set of mythologies in this movie is mere enforced reproductions of conservative, male-centered, and violent myth.
