This thesis aims to analyze the practical meaning of giving in Ten Transferring-varga based on the understanding of Ten Transfer-varga in Avataṃsaka-Sūtra.Ten Transfer-varga of Avataṃsaka-Sūtra is the only scripture in which the Buddhist pari-ṇāma thought has been established as a complete varga. In the 5th Tuṣitagung Sermon, the 23rd Seungtuṣita-varga, the 24th Tuṣitagung Gechan-varga, and the 25th Ten Transfer-varga are preached. Its core lies in the Ten Transfer(十廻向) doctrine. Explains the whole meaning of this varga because 10 Bodhisattvas of ‘Dang(幢)’, including Geumgangdang(金剛幢) Bodhisattva, wanted to achieve the law of cause and effect through the ten conducts and the stages of Ten Transfer. The composition of three items in the 5th is the 23rd Seungtuṣita-varga and the 24th Tuṣitacheongung Gechan-varga, which depicts the process of Buddha ascending to Tuṣitagung. And in the 25th episode Ten Transferring-varga, it is the jeongjongbun(正宗分) and the yujongbun(流通分). In Ten Transferring-varga, the Bodhisattva of Seolju(說主) Geumgangdang (金剛幢), who arose from Samādhi of the Buddha's supernatural power, preaches Ten Transferring(十廻向). However, when the texts of the scriptures are analyzed, it actually all boils down to turning to three places. In the Avataṃsaka-Sūtra Ten Transferring-varga, the thought of giving (dāna) of the six Transfer , which is the practice of Buddhism, is taught in the 6th Transferring(廻向). dāna(布施) is taught in the fennel following the 6th solid root of oneness of the Ten Transferring(十廻向), where dāna is constituted as a means for the salvation of sattva(衆生). And the practical meaning, aspect and content of dāna are confirmed in the 60 types of dāna taught in the 6th Transferring(廻向), and the dāna taught here contain useful content for our modern life today. many of them are included. In particular, it is noteworthy that dāna, which is also related to organ donation today, and beneficial dāna that can be used in social welfare practice are being taught.

본 논문은 『화엄경』「십회향품」에 대한 이해에 바탕하여 「십회향품」에 담긴 보시의 실천적 의미를 분석해보고자 한다. 불교의 회향사상이 온전한 하나의 품으로 자리매김한 경전은 『화엄경』의 『십회향품』이 유일하다. 제5회 도솔천궁설법에서는 제23「승도솔천궁품」, 제24「도솔천궁게찬품」, 제25「십회향품」의 3개의 품이 설해지는데, 그 핵심은 십회향법문에 있다. 그리고 십회향은 금강당 보살을 위시한 10명의‘당’자 돌림의 보살들이 십행(十行)을 거쳐 십회향(十廻向)의 단계로 인과법문을 성취하고자 한 까닭으로 이품의 온 뜻[來意]을 설한 것이다. 제5회 3품의 구성은 제23 「승도솔천궁품」과 제24 「도솔천궁게찬품」은 붓다(佛)가 도솔천궁으로 올라가시는 과정을 그린 것으로 서분에 해당되고, 제25 「십회향품」은 정종분과 유통분에 속한다. 「십회향품」에서는 부처님의 위신력 삼매로부터 일어난 설주 금강당 보살이 열 가지 회향을 설하고 있으나, 경문을 분석했을 때, 실제적으로 모두 삼처회향(三處廻向)으로 귀결되고 있다. 『화엄경』「십회향품」에는 불교의 실천행인 육바라밀의 보시(布施)사상이 제6회향에 교설되어 있다. 십회향에 담긴 보시의 내용은 제6 수순견고일체선근회향이며, 여기서 보시는 중생구제를 위한 방편으로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 보시의 실천적 의미와 양상과 내용은 제6회향에 교설된 60종류의 보시에서 확인되며, 여기에 설해진 보시에는 오늘날 우리 현대인의 삶에 유용한 내용들이 다수 포함되어 있다. 특히 오늘날 장기기증과도 연관되는 보시와 사회복지실천에 활용할 수 있는 유익한 보시가 교설되고 있어 주목된다고 하겠다.
