The purpose of this study is to investigate what kind of roles Intergenerational Corporate Worship(ICW) plays for family ministry. To achieve the research purpose, this study employs a qualitative case study method based on the perspective of congregational studies. The study selected a local church, ‘The Sehwoom Church,’ as a case. The church holds ICW service every Sunday morning. To collect the church’s data, the researcher participated in ICW and interviewed 4 ministers and 4 parents. The data analysis reveals that 4 themes can be categorized as following: the church’s visions and values, the roles of ICW, family ministry roles for church family, and family ministry roles for families in the church. The church’s vision and value system play crucial roles for ICW’s family ministry function. The church’s vision is “to build up one another in Christ.” The church’s ICW is an actual realization of this vision: by participating in ICW, each generation understands other generation and motivated to help build each other. This mutual building up and support can be found in both church family and families in church. Parents acknowledged that ICW helps share and expand faith life and prayer life with their children, which enhance connection between them, and bonding as coworkers. This case study proves that ICW plays important roles for church’s family ministry. But the study also found that the case church also needs to pay attention to the decline of non traditional families and to embrace the concerns parents raised that current ICW appears more focusing on adult members, not on children. Finally, the study suggests Christian education and liturgical studies on ICW from the perspective of congregational studies, through a case study, to understand ICW’s influence on church education and worship service .

본 연구의 목적은 교회에서 드려지는 ‘세대통합예배’가 어떠한 가정사역의 기능을 하고 있는가를 고찰하는 것이다. 선행연구들은 ‘세대통합예배’가 세대 간의 신앙의 전 수에 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 신앙 안에서 가정을 회복하는 가정사역적 기능이 있음을 제시하였다. 연구 목적을 이루기 위한 연구 방법으로 회중학적 관점의 질적사례연구 를 사용하였다. 사례로 선택한 교회는 김천시에 위치한 ‘더세움교회’이며 매 주일 통 합예배로 '온세대예배'를 드리고 있다. 회중학적 관점의 본 사례연구는 교회 비전과 사역 관련 문서, 세대통합예배의 참관, 그리고 교역자 4명과 학부모 4명의 연구참가자 를 대상으로 한 인터뷰 자료 분석에 기초하고 있다. 자료 분석 결과 세대통합예배의 가정사역적 기능은 4개의 범주로 나누어서 이해될 수 있었다. 4개의 범주는 ‘교회의 비전과 추구하는 가치’, ‘'온세대예배'를 통한 비전 실현’, ‘'온세대예배'의 교회공동체 가족을 위한 가정사역’, ‘'온세대예배'의 부모와 자 녀를 위한 가정사역’이다. 더세움교회의 비전과 추구하는 가치는 사람과 온 세대, 열 방을 함께 세워가고, 이를 통해 ‘동역자’의 정체성을 공유하는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 비전과 가치는 이 교회의 세대통합예배인 '온세대예배'를 통해 실현되는데, 이는 서로의 불편함을 극복하며 관심과 배려 속에 예배의 순서에 함께 참여하는 방 식 으 로 실현되었다. 사례교회의 통합예배는 교회공동체 가족과 일반 가족 모두를 신앙 안에 서 세우는 가정사역 역할을 활발하게 수행하였다. 교회 가족으로서 교인들은 공동체 성을 지향하고, 서로에게 관심을 가지고, 어려울 때 돕고 세워주는 관계를 형성하였 다. 부모와 자녀들은 '온세대예배'를 통해 신앙 안에서 함께 공유하는 부분이 확장되 고, 경험에 기초한 자녀교육의 기회를 얻고, 신앙 안에서 함께 기도하는 동역자의 관 계를 느끼게 되었다고 보고하였다. 논의 부분에서 이 교회의 통합예배는 신앙 안에서 가정을 세우는 좋은 모델을 제 시하고 있음을 지적하였다. 그리고 세대통합예배가 혈연 외의 다른 형태의 가족들을 더 잘 포용할 수 있는 방안을 개발하거나, 자녀 세대를 위해 예배의 설교와 분위기의 조정이 필요할 수 있음을 지적하였다. 마지막으로, ‘세대통합예배’가 교회의 사역에 다 른 어떤 영향을 주는 지를 더 심층적으로 이해하기 위해서 기독교교육학과 예배학 분 야에서의 회중학적적 관점의 사례연구를 제안하였다
