This study examines the structural changes in the trade patterns of high tech industries focusing on Korea China, and the USA. The analysis period covers 2010, 2015, and 2020, and the export market share was analyzed using the Constant Market Share(CMS) analysis. The high tech industries consist of 9 sub-industries according to the OECD classification, and a CMS analysis was conducted for each industry. In terms of the proportion of high tech industries in manufacturing exports, Korea has a relatively high share of 39.6% in 2020, compared to China’s 28.4% and the USA’s 25.8%. When examining the market share of the 9 high tech industries, China shows an increasing trend in its global market share over the period, while the those of the USA and Korea are decreasing. In terms of individual sub-industries within the high tech industries, all three countries have the highest proportion in the electronics and telecommunications industry. The decomposition of market share changes by factors indicates the changes in the supply factors are the main drivers of the market share changes.
