The aim of this article is to reconstruct the trade routes between Ming dynasty and Muromachi shogunate as depicted in the Shoun-Nyumin-ki. The Muromachi shogunate’s envoys dispatched to the Ming Dynasty were driven by the desire to profit from trading goods. As a result, these trade routes played a crucial role in facilitating the acquisition and transportation of trade commodities. This article not only focuses on reinstating the envoy-driven trade routes connecting the two nations, but also delves into the procurement of trade goods that actively traversed these pathways. Shoun's journey is divided into two distinct segments. The initial part encompasses Shoun's expedition from Kyoto to Hirado, where he awaited departure for Ningbo. This journey serves as a lens through which we examine the maritime trade routes within Japan. Moreover, during this journey, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the trade commodities procured for tribute trade, with particular emphasis on sulfur. The second part involves Shoun's voyage to Beijing subsequent to his arrival in Ningbo. The trade routes of the Ming Dynasty in China revolved around the capital city of Beijing and spanned across the entire nation. Envoys embarked on journeys along the Grand Canal from Ningbo, navigating its waters in both directions. This article meticulously traces Shoun's expedition through the Grand Canal while also offering insights into the surrounding landscape.

본고에서는 『소운입명기』를 통해 명・일 간의 교통로를 복원하였다. 견명사의 목적은 무역품의 판매를 통한 이윤 확보에 있었다. 따라서 명・일 간의 교통로는 무역품을 조달하여 운송하기 위한 모세혈관과 같은 위치를 가진다고 할 수 있다. 이런 관점에서 본고는 단순히 양국 간에 사절단이 오고 가던 교통로의 복원에 그치지 않고 그 길 위에서 활발하게 움직이고 있던 무역품 조달의 양상에도 주목하 였다. 본고에서는 쇼운이 관찰한 호토쿠 견명사의 여정을 크게 둘로 나누어 살펴보았 다. 먼저 쇼운이 교토를 출발하여 영파로 출항하기 위해 대기하던 히라도까지의 여정을 통해 일본 국내의 해상 교통로의 양상을 규명하였다. 나아가 그 여정 속에 서 조공무역을 위해 수급되고 있던 무역품의 양상을 유황을 통해 고찰하였다. 두 번째로는 호토쿠 견명사가 영파에 입항한 뒤로 북경 조정에 다다르기까지의 과정이다. 명대의 교통로는 기본적으로 수도인 북경을 중심으로 하여 전국으로 펼 쳐지는 그물망 구조였다. 영파에서 출발한 호토쿠 견명사 일행은 대운하를 이용하 여 상경하였다. 본고에서는 쇼운이 대운하를 이용하여 상경하는 과정을 추적하면 서 그 경관 정보를 함께 소개하였다.
