Effects of Working Risk Factors on Work Environment Satisfaction for Male Workers at Small Construction Sites
초록
영어
Purpose : Compared to other industries, the construction industry has more risk factors, is more affected by climate, is more mobile, and finds it hard to manage the working environment and workers efficiently. The number of industrial accidents in the construction industry is increasing continuously, and small construction sites with fewer than 50 people account for a high industrial accident rate, so it needs to be managed. Methods : By using the data from the 6th Labor Environment Survey, 1,412 male workers at small-scale construction sites with fewer than 50 workers were selected as the final study target, and the Chi-square test and Logistic regression analysis were conducted to analyze the relationship between occupational risk factors and working environment satisfaction. Results : The study shows that workers, who have been working for more than 10 years(OR=1.712, p=.001), who have no experience of musculoskeletal problems(OR=2.143, p<.001) and fatigue(OR=1.955, p<.001), who work 40 to fewer than 52 hours per week(OR=2.192, p<.001), who are not exposed to noise(OR=1.351, p=.027) and uncomfortable posture(OR=2.312, p=.004), who are not handling heavy objects(OR=1.633, p=.002), who are not under work stress(OR=1.498, p=.018), and who are provided sufficient safety and health information(OR=1.572, p=.001), are satisfied with the working condition. Conclusion : Therefore, it is necessary to operate a preventive and practical musculoskeletal disease management program to improve the satisfaction level of male workers at small construction sites with fewer than 50 employees. It is necessary to expand the provision and posting of safety and health information in the workplace so that construction workers can easily acquire information on safety and health and to develop various educational methods and teaching plans so that construction workers can easily understand safety and health information. By reducing risk factors such as noise and providing and wearing adequate protective equipment, it is necessary to ensure that safety and health management can be appropriately done on-site.
