By examining the literary works of Anatoli Kim, a Russian-language writer and the third generation of Korean immigrants to the Soviet Union, this study reviews on the current state of identity in Koryo-saram works and reflects their possibility to broaden the horizon in the 21st century. It also sheds light on his personal experiences, philosophies and ideas that shaped his worldview to figure out why he chose the globalist narratives, which is directly related to the wholeness of humanity, as the ground of his works, over the narrow nationalist ones. The study views the dynamics between Anatoli Kim’s ‘globalism’ and ‘national consciousness’ as the centrifugal and centripetal forces of his literary world. So, it focuses on Konstantin Tsiolkovsky and Teilhard de Chardin among many Eastern and Western thinkers whose philosophical concepts appear substantially in his works. The reason for choosing the two among many of the philosophers whose books Anatoli Kim had read is that they represent thinkers with whom he naturally resonated in the process of growing humanity expanding from the ideology of a Korean people in a foreign land. What we now need to do as a new step in the study of ‘Koryo-saram literature’ is to objectively trace the ways in which the third-, fourth-, and fifth-generations of the Korean immigrants who are Russian-language writers fuse their ethnic identity with Russian and Central Asian literature, and even with world literature. In other words, the study aims to broaden the horizons of Korean literature by exploring their literary output which is driven by the experience of overcoming a lot of hardships as the descendants of Korean diaspora, strangers in the public or private education and their own life, and by examining the contextual background that shapes their worldviews and the significance of their literary contributions. Koryo-saram literature embracing the pain of the Korean diaspora is almost 100 years old. If we do not consider the tradition of ‘Koryo-saram literature’ and the possibility to broaden the horizons of their literature, we will block the possibility for our literature to be a ‘hybrid’ one by fusing with various cultures and arts of the world.

본고에서는 러시아어로 글을 쓰는 고려인 3세 작가 아나톨리 김의 문학을 중 심으로 21세기 현 시점에서 고려인문학 정체성의 현주소를 돌아보고, 그 확장 성을 고찰하려고 시도했다. 그리고 아나톨리 김이 왜 편협한 민족주의 담론에 머무르지 않고, 인류의 전일(全一)과 직결되는 세계주의 담론을 문학의 발판으 로 삼게 되었는지, 그의 개인적 체험과 함께 그의 세계관을 형성시켰던 철학과 사상에 대해서도 조명해 보았다. 아나톨리 김의 ‘세계주의’와 ‘민족의식’의 역학 관계를 그의 문학세계의 원심력과 구심력으로 규정하며, 그의 작품에 그 철학적 개념이 실질적으로 등장하는 여러 동·서양 사상가들 가운데 콘스탄찐 찌올콥스 키와 테야르 드 샤르댕에 주목했다. 아나톨리 김이 독서했던 여러 철학자들 가 운데 이들을 선별했던 것은 그가 타국 땅에서 한민족의 이념에서 확장된 인류 의식을 성장시키는 과정에서 자연스럽게 융화되었던 대표적인 사상가가 찌올콥 스키와 샤르댕이기 때문이다. 이제 우리가 ‘고려인문학’ 연구에서 새로운 초석으로 삼아야 하는 것은 러시 아어로 글을 쓰는 고려인 3세, 4세, 5세 작가들이 자신들의 한민족 정체성을 어 떤 방식으로 러시아 및 중앙아시아문학, 더 나아가 세계문학의 아우라속에서 융 합시키는지 객관적으로 추적하는 작업이다. 한국인의 핏줄을 지닌 그들이 디아 스포라 후예로서 자신이 받았던 사적·공적 교육이나 삶의 체험, 그리고 어쩔 수 없이 이방인으로서 겪을 수밖에 없었던 고난과 그 극복의 과정을 예술로 승화 시킨 결과물과 함께 그들의 세계관을 형성시킨 배경과 그 의의를 고찰하여 우 리문학의 가능성을 확장시키는 것이다. 디아스포라의 상흔을 안고 이어온 명맥, 이제는 어느새 백 여년이 가까워오는 ‘고려인문학’ 전통과 그 확장성을 고려하 지 않는다면, 우리 스스로가 세계의 다양한 문화·예술과 습합되며 새로운 ‘혼종 성’으로 창출되어가는 우리 문학의 가능성을 차단해버리는 것이기 때문이다.
