This study aims to revitalize English education in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and change methods using nowadays to take a new approach. Convergence education of Artificial intelligence and English education have been actively discussed, and may have made many changes in classrooms. Accordingly, it is possible to revitalize English education and develop basic AI skills together through convergence guidance between Basic AI subjects and English subjects. With the development of technology, many changes are being made in life as a whole, and it is considered a more desperately needed education for students who will live in the future. English education with artificial intelligence is being conducted and taught for speaking, writing, listening, reading, and evaluation in English Education. The reason why I chose and studied Career English as a subject for convergence guidance among 'English', a common subject in the English department, and various general selection and career selection subjects is because of the characteristics that learners' interest leads to motivation for learning. Students can have an incentive to challenge unfamiliar and difficult areas through familiar materials. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze textbooks by referring to career English achievement standards and find connections with the basic subject area of artificial intelligence. Based on the 19 themes presented in the 2015 revised curriculum, the achievement standards were restructured by linking the commonalities of the materials for each unit in the two subjects to suggest a plan to integrate career English subjects and AI basic subjects.

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대에서 영어교육을 활성화하고 기존의 방식을 변형하여 새롭게 접근하고자 시도되었다. 인공지능과 영어교육은 활발히 논의되고 있으며 교실에서도 많은 변화가 이루어지고 있다. 이에 인공지능 기초 교과와 영어 교과의 융합 지도 를 통해 영어교육의 활성화 및 인공지능 기초 소양을 함께 기를 수 있도록 한다. 기술의 발전으로 생활 전반에서 많은 변화가 이루 어지고 있으며 미래 시대를 살아갈 학생들에게는 더욱 절실히 필요한 교육이라 여겨진다. 따라서 인공지능의 개념과 기술에 대한 이해를 익혀 활용할 수 있도록 교실에서 장을 열어주어야 할 것이다. 인공지능을 활용한 영어교육은 말하기, 쓰기, 듣기, 읽기, 그리 고 평가영역까지도 논의되고 활용되고 있다. 영어과의 공통 과목인 ‘영어’ 및 여러 가지의 일반 선택 및 진로 선택 과목 중에서 진로 영어를 융합지도를 위한 과목으로 선택하고 연구하고자 한 것은, 학습자의 흥미가 학습의 동기로 이어지는 특성 때문이다. 학생들 은 익숙한 소재를 통해서 낯설고 어려운 영역에 대한 도전 동기를 가질 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 진로영어 성취기준을 참고 하여 교과서를 분석하고 인공지능 기초 교과 영역과의 연계성을 찾고자 하였다. 2015 개정 교육과정 영어교과에서 제시한 학습의 소재 19가지를 기준으로 두 교과에 등장한 단원별 영역별 소재의 공통점을 연계로 성취기준을 재구조화하여 진로 영어 교과와 인 공지능 기초 교과의 융합지도 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.
