The purpose of this study is to identify and validate the protective factors that enable soldiers to overcome problematic situations when soldiers encounter difficulties due to military organizational environment and personal psychological and mental problems while adjusting to military life. For the empirical analysis, a survey was conducted on 309 soldiers of an army unit located in Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study are as follows. First, there were significant positive correlations between variables such as emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, group cohesion, and adaptation to military life. Second, emotional intelligence showed a significant level of direct effect on spiritual intelligence and group cohesion. Third, spiritual intelligence had a direct effect at a significant level on group cohesion and adaptation to military life. Fourth, there was an indirect effect when spiritual intelligence and group cohesion were used as a double medium between emotional intelligence and military life adaptation.

본 연구는 병사의 정서지능, 영성지능, 집단응집성과 군생활 적응과의 관계를 확인하고 정서지능이 군생 활 적응에 영향을 미치는 데 있어 영성지능과 집단응집성의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 연구의 대상은 경기도 00부대의 병사 309명이며, 육군본부에서 본 연구의 설문지를 검열 후 설문 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫 째, 정서지능, 영성지능, 집단응집성과 군생활 적응 변인 간 모두 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘 째, 정서지능이 영성지능과 집단응집성에 유의미한 수준의 직접영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 영성지능이 집단응집 성과 군생활 적응에 유의미한 수준에서 직접영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 정서지능과 군생활 적응의 관계에서 영 성지능과 집단응집성을 이중 매개로 하였을 때 간접효과가 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 정서지능 수준이 성숙하게 발달한 병사는 영성지능에 영향을 주어 군 생활에 의미와 목표를 설정하고 전우들을 배려하고 자 비로운 행동을 하게 되고, 다시 높아진 영성지능이 집단응집성에 영향을 미쳐 구성원 간에 상호작용과 친 밀한 감정에 영향을 주어 더 많은 애착심을 상승하게 한다는 것을 말한다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 연구 결과의 의의와 제언점 및 후속 연구에 대한 방향을 논하였다.
