초록

영어

Elastomers are elastic polymers with various practical applications, including functional films, architectural soundproofing, cable insulation, shoe inserts, packaging, cushions, and rubber. Elastomers generate environmentally harmful substances such as volatile organic compounds during production and decomposition processes. To replace elastomers, Trametes oreintalis mycelium was grown on a substrate consisting of sawdust and rice bran, and pure mycelial material was subsequently separated. Additionally, physical/chemical treatment was performed on mycelium material..As a result, three proto-types of mycelium elastomer were produced: acetylation-based sample (ACHP), benzoylation-based sample (BCHP), and silane-based sample (SCHP). The mycelium elastomers were observed in the elastomer region of the material properties chart with young's modulus and density. Additionally, the surface characteristics of the mycelium elastomers were hydrophilic as confirmed by water contact angle, and it exhibited overall thermal stability up to 200°C. By further adjusting the properties, mycelium elastomer can function as eco-friendly material in certain industry, while reducing environmental pollution caused by existing production process and disposal
