The Kakao Talk incident provided an opportunity to affirm the influence of online platforms. Despite their recent emergence, these platforms have become an indispensable element of daily life. However, social consensus on online platforms remains inadequate. And there is controversy surrounding them. In this circumstance, the question can be raised about how Confucianism can help, and whether it is possible to apply a Confucian approach to the management of online platforms. I would like to explore the possibility of adopting a Confucian mindset to the platform management. To this end, I first clarify what is the Confucian attitude to dealing with new situations. Next, I demonstrate that there are similar attitudes to the Confucian one in the operation of platforms. Lastly, by comparing platforms, I illustrate that platforms can suitably respond to the users adopting a Confucian approach; through it, I confirm the possibility of applying a Confucian attitude to platform management.

작년에 발생한 카카오톡 장애 사건은 온라인 플랫폼의 영향력과 그 중요성을 확인할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 비교적 최근에 등장한 온라인 플랫폼은 일상에서 대체할 수 없는 필수 요소로 자리매김하고 있지만 이에 대한 사회적 합의는 여전히 부족하고 그에 따른 논란 또한 계속되고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 유학적 가르침이 어떤 도움이 될 수 있는지 그리고 온라인 플랫폼 운영에 유학적 태도가 적용되는 것이 현실적으로 가능한지에 대한 질문을 제기할 수 있다. 이 글에서는 온라인 플랫폼 운영 측면에서 유학적 태도가 적용될 수 있는 가능성을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 우선 새로운 상황에 처했을 때 가질 수 있는 유학적 태도가 무엇인지 살필 것이다. 다음으로 온라인 플랫폼이 운영되는 실무 속에 유학적 태도와 유사한 부분이 있다는 점을 보일 것이다. 마지막으로 사례를 비교해서 플랫폼이 유학적 태도를 지닌 사용자가 기대하는 방식으로 대응할 수 있다는 점을 보이고, 이를 통해 플랫폼에 유학적 태도가 적용될 수 있는 현실적 가능성을 확인할 것이다.
