Among the various leading fields that will lead the 4th industrial revolution, artificial intelligence is predicted to bring about changes that will lead other fields in its scope and influence on future society. However, vague fears and hopes for the future of artificial intelligence coexist among the general public. This study examines the problem of vague fear and optimism about artificial intelligence, and presents the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence by examining the conditions for artificial intelligence to operate. Discuss whether the role of the accounting specialist can be replaced, or whether it will be limited to the role of efficiently supporting the work of accounting experts. Finally, we look at the required competencies of experts and future generations who will be engaged in the accounting field required in the future, and suggest the direction of education to cultivate the relevant competencies. This study provides an analysis framework that can help in decision-making related to artificial intelligence to experts and future generations in various other professional fields, not just accounting, and can help prepare for the future with artificial intelligence.

4차 산업혁명을 이끌 다양한 선도 분야 중 인공지능은 미래 사회에 미칠 그 범위와 영향력에 있어서 다른 분 야를 압도할 만한 변화를 가져올 것으로 예측된다. 이로 인해 인공지능의 대중화가 가속화되어 인공지능이 인간 의 작업을 대체할 것이라는 미래에 대한 막연한 두려움과 기대가 공존한다. 본 연구는 인공지능에 대한 막연한 두려움과 기대의 문제점을 살펴보고, 인공지능이 효과적으로 구현되기 위 한 조건을 살펴봄으로써 인공지능이 가지는 능력과 한계점을 제시하며, 전문분야 영역 특히 회계분야에서 인공 지능이 회계전문가의 역할을 대체할 수 있는지, 아니면 회계전문가의 업무를 효율적으로 지원하는 보완적 역할 에 그칠지에 대해 논의한다. 마지막으로 미래에 요구되는 회계분야에 종사할 전문가와 미래 세대들의 필요 역량 을 살펴보고 해당 역량을 배양할 수 있는 교육의 방향을 제안한다. 본 연구는 회계분야 뿐만이 아닌 다양한 다른 전문분야의 전문가나 미래 세대들에게 인공지능과 관련된 다양 한 의사결정에 있어서 분석의 틀을 제공하고, 인공지능과 함께 할 미래를 대비하는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.
