With the international community's growing demand for corporate ESG and the EU's supply chain due diligence guidelines, companies now have to manage by expanding their scope to risks arising across the supply chain. This paper presents a method for assessing product risks necessary for indicators related to product safety in the social sector among the risks that may occur in the supply chain for ESG risk management. The method presented in this paper is a probability-based assessment method that reflects the causal relationship between product factors, which are the unique characteristics of products, environmental factors related to product use, and accidents that occur during product use and resulting injuries. In addition, an example of applying the risk assessment method to children's water play equipment is shown and compared with EU's risk assessment method. The risk assessment method in this paper can supplement the limitations of general scenario-based assessment methods because it assesses risks based on causality using accident data that occurred during product use.

기업의 ESG에 대한 국제 사회의 요구가 점점 높아지는 것과 함께 EU에서 공급망 실사 지침을 발표함에 따 라 기업은 이제 공급망 전반에서 발생하는 리스크로 범위를 확대하여 관리해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 공급망 ESG 리스크관리를 위하여 공급망에서 발생 가능한 리스크 중 사회 영역의 제품안전과 관련된 지표를 위하여 필 요한 제품리스크를 평가하는 기법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 기법은 제품의 고유한 특성인 제품요인과 제품 사용과 관련된 환경요인, 그리고 제품 사용 과정 중 발생하는 사고와 이로 인한 부상 간의 인과관계를 반 영한 확률 기반의 평가기법이다. 이와 함께 어린이물놀이기구에 리스크평가 기법을 적용한 사례를 보이고 EU의 리스크 평가기법과 비교해 본다. 본 논문의 리스크평가 기법은 제품사용 중 발생한 사고 데이터를 사용하여 인 과성에 기반하여 리스크를 평가하기 때문에 일반적인 시나리오 기반 평가기법이 지니고 있는 한계를 보완할 수 있다.
