This study aims to examine the missionary work that Pang Chi-Yil has conducted in Shandong Province, China, divided into four periods, and evaluate his ministry from the perspective of transforming discipleship. Therefore, this study summarizes the concepts and characteristics of transforming discipleship and examines his missionary work in Shandong that he has been carried out since 1937, when the preventive day was dispatched, divided into four periods, focusing on China's great upheavals. And this study evaluates his Shandong missionary work in the perspective of transforming discipleship. From the perspective of transforming discipleship, his missionary work was a missionary work that loved China and was with the Chinese, a missionary work that exercises reconciliation, and a ministry that united with Christ to unite with the poor. And finally, his missionary work was to resist the forces of life-killing and create hope for life. In this way, Pang Chi-Yil was the Heavenly Ambassador of God, a man of the Bible and the Gospel, a man who loved China and the Chinese to the end amid hardships and persecution, and a pastor and missionary who lived transforming discipleship.

본 연구의 목적은 방지일이 중국 산동성에서 펼쳐온 선교 사역을 4기 로 나누어 살펴보고, 변혁적 제자도 관점에서 그의 사역을 평가하고자 하 는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 1937년 이후 방지일이 펼친 산동선교 사역을 4번의 시기로 나누어 살펴보며, 변혁적 제자도 관점에서 방지일의 산동선 교 사역을 평가한다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 다음과 같은 사실을 알 수 있었 다. 첫째, 방지일은 조선예수교장로회 총회(PCK)의 부르심을 따라 중국 산 동성에서 선교 사역을 했다. 둘째, 변혁적 제자도 관점에서 그의 선교 사역 은 중국을 사랑하고 중국 사람과 함께 한 사역이었고, 화해를 전하는 선교 적 제자로서의 사역이었으며, 그리스도와 연합하여 가난한 자들과 연대하 는 사역을 했음을 알 수 있다. 그리고 셋째, 그의 선교 사역은 생명 죽임의 세력에 저항하고 생명의 희망을 창조하는 사역이었다. 이렇게 볼 때, 방지 일은 하나님의 천국 대사, 성경과 복음의 사람이었고, 고난과 핍박 가운데 서도 끝까지 중국과 중국인들을 사랑한 사람이었으며, 변혁적 제자도의 삶 을 살았던 참 목자이자 선교사이다.
