The purpose of this study is to identify the role of mentoring for successful study abroad life by analyzing the influence of mentoring experienced by Chinese students majoring in physical education on their adaptation to college life, overall study abroad life, and self-realization. To this end, after setting up a population centered on Chinese university students and graduate students majoring in physical education at universities located in regions across the country and studying abroad for educational purposes for more than 6 months, data collection through face-to-face responses is limited due to the corona (covid-19) incident. Therefore, a total of 350 people were sampled using the Google Form as a convenience sampling method, and the data of 312 valid samples were used for the final analysis. Based on the results of this data analysis, the conclusions drawn are as follows. The causal relationship between mentoring, college life adaptation, life satisfaction, and self-realization perceived by students majoring in physical education.

본 연구에서는 체육전공 중국 유학생들의 멘토링 기능이 대학생활적응 및 생활만족, 자아실현에 미치는 영향을 밝힘으로써 체육전공 중국 유학생들이 경험하고 있는 멘토링이 유학생들의 대학생활적응과 전반적인 유학생활, 그리고 자아실현에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 성공적인 유학생활을 위한 멘토링의 역할을 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다 이를 위해 전국 지역 소재한 대학교에서 체육을 전공하고 6개월 이상의 교육 목적으로 유학하고 있는 중국인 대학생, 대학원생을 중심으로 모집단을 설정한 후 코로나(covid-19) 사태로 인해 대면응답을 통한 자료 수집이 제한된다는 사실에서 편의 표본 추출법(convenience sampling)의 방식으로서 구글 설문지 (Google Form)를 이용하여 총 350명 을 표집하였고, 그 중 유효한 표본 312명의 자료를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 자료 분석의 결과를 토대로 결론은 다음과 같다. 체육전공 유학생들이 지각하는 멘토링과 대학생활적응, 생활만족, 자아실현 간의 인과관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
