Vietnam has announced its national strategy with the aim of fostering the material and parts industry and expanding overseas investment attraction in order to establish a stable industrial structure. However, most of the population is still engaged in agriculture, forestry and livestock industries, and Vietnam's livestock statistics are more than twice that of Korea, and Vietnam's average annual pork consumption ranked first among OECD countries. Korea-Vietnam cooperation in the economic field is active, but R&D related to the veterinary field has little cooperation. In this study, the trend of veterinary research in Vietnam was reviewed, and the cases of Korea-Vietnam research exchange activities and cooperation were analyzed through expert interviews. We identified topics of knowledge production, citation, collaboration, knowledge structure and key keywords of related studies in Vietnam through bibliometric analysis . And we conducted network analysis of keywords through research topic connectivity. In addition, We conducted expert interviews with professors who had experience in research collaboration with Vietnam, and the problems related to Vietnam's veterinary field and the possibility of Korea-Vietnam cooperation were drawn, and policy proposals were made to promote cooperation between Korea and Vietnam.

베트남은 안정적 산업구조 확립을 위해 소재·부품산업 육성과 해외 투 자유치 확대를 목표로 국가전략을 발표한 바 있다. 그러나 아직은 인구 대 부분이 농림축수산업에 종사하는데 베트남의 가축통계는 한국의 2배 이상 많고, 특히 베트남의 연평균 돼지고기 소비량은 OECD 국가 중 세계 1위를 기록했다. 한국-베트남은 경제분야에서의 협력은 활성화되어 있으나, 수 의학 분야 관련 R&D는 협력이 거의 없다. 본 연구에서는 베트남의 수의학 연구동향을 고찰하고, 전문가 인터뷰를 통하여 한국-베트남 연구교류 활동 및 협력사례를 분석하였다. 연구동향 분석은 베트남의 가축질병 및 전염병 연구 동향을 파악하기 위하여 관련 연구의 지식구조와 핵심 키워드를 파악, 특정 주제에 대한 연구들의 서지 분석을 통해 지식생산, 영향, 협업 및 연구의 하위 주제를 식별하였다. 키워 드의 네트워크 분석을 통해 시각적 이해와 연구주제 연결성을 파악하였다. 또한 수의과대학 부교수 이상, 베트남과 연구교류 경험이 있는 교수집단을 대상으로 전문가 인터뷰를 수행하여 베트남의 수의분야 관련 문제점과 한 국-베트남 협력 가능성 분야를 도출하였고, 이를 통해 한국과 베트남 수의 학 분야의 협력 활성화를 위한 정책제안을 제시하였다.
