This study is a literature study on the integration of music and national spirit. It is a reflection on the meaning of the existence of the nation and the people, and how to maintain the pride and self-esteem of the nation as one of the same people, away from individual pursuit of profit. Through various literatures and magazines, we explored the contribution of music that plays a mediating role in solidifying our nation's identity. Through this study, we would like to present the following conclusions. First, music that maintains national and ethnic identity should be systematically dealt with in school education. Recently, most of school education deals with individual life. However, if we consider what an individual means without a nation, this is an aspect that cannot be neglected. Second, music education that evokes national and ethnic identity must be systematically conducted from early childhood education and elementary education. Education should be the basis for leading the revival of the nation and nation by teaching the emotional part that recognizes the nation and national spirit from an early age to form an emotion that naturally learns as a citizen. Third, it is necessary to escape from the perception that maintaining the national spirit through music is an outdated idea in the globalization trend of the times. Looking back on the past in the early 1900s, when the people suffered, it should be recognized that today's national unity and cooperation are more important and are the basis for national growth.

이 연구는 음악과 민족정신의 통합에 관한 문헌연구이다. 국가와 민족의 존재 의미를 돌아보고, 개인 의 영리추구에서 벗어나 같은 국민의 한 사람으로서 어떻게 하면 민족의 긍지와 자부심을 지속할 수 있 는가에 대한 고찰이다. 각종 문헌과 잡지 등을 통해서 우리 민족의 정체성을 확고히 하는데 매개역할을 하는 음악의 기여 부분을 탐색하였다. 이 연구를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 국가 와 민족의 정체성을 유지시키는 음악도 학교교육에서 체계적으로 다루어야 한다. 최근에 학교교육은 개 인의 삶을 중심으로 다루는 것들이 대부분이다. 그러나 국가가 없다면 개인이 어떤 의미가 있는가를 생 각해 본다면 이는 절대 소홀히 할 수 없는 부분이다. 둘째, 국가와 민족의 정체성을 불러일으키는 음악교 육은 유아교육과 초등교육에서부터 체계적으로 행해져야 한다. 국가와 민족혼을 인식시켜주는 정서적인 부분을 어릴 적부터 가르침으로써 국민의 한 사람으로서 자연스럽게 학습하는 정서를 형성시킴으로서 교육이 국가와 민족의 부흥을 이끌어가는 바탕이 되어야 한다. 셋째, 음악을 통한 민족혼의 유지는 글로 벌화되고 있는 시대적 흐름에서 구시대적 발상이라는 인식에서 벗어나야 한다. 과거 민족의 아픔을 겪었 던 1900년대 초를 돌이켜 보면, 오늘날 민족의 단결과 협력은 더욱 중요하며, 국가성장의 토대가 된다는 점을 인식하여야 한다.
