This study was conducted to find out how academic interest of pre-service early childhood teachers affects happiness and how college life adaptation plays a mediating effect in the relationship between academic interest and happiness. The subjects of this study were 323 pre-service teachers at Seoul Metropolitan University, and statistics were conducted using the IBM SPSS v23.0 program. First, the academic interest of pre-service teachers and college life adaptation showed a positive correlation with happiness. Second, it has been confirmed that pre-service teachers' academic interest has a positive effect on happiness, personal interest has a relatively more significant impact on happiness than situational interest, and adaptation to college has a significant impact on their happiness. Third, it was confirmed that pre-service teachers' college life adaptation had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between academic interest and happiness. This study is meaningful in that the higher the academic interest of pre-service teachers, the higher the happiness, and the higher the happiness through the mediating relationship of college life adaptation, and suggests continuous research on various variables and more target groups in various regions.

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 학업흥미가 행복감에 어떠한 영향을 미치고, 대학생활적응이 학업흥미와 행복감 관계에서 어떤 매개적 역할과 효과가 있는지를 알아보고자 진행하였다. 이번 연구의 대상은 서울 수도권 대학 교의 예비유아교사 323명이며, 수집 자료의 통계처리는 IBM SPSS v23.0 프로그램으로 기술통계, 상관분석, 다 중회귀분석 및 매개효과 검증을 시행하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 예비유아교사의 학업흥미와 대학생활적응은 행 복감과 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 학업흥미는 행복감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 학업 에 대한 상황적 흥미보다 개인적 흥미가 행복감에 상대적으로 더 유의미한 영향력을 행사하는 것으로 확인되 었다. 예비유아교사의 대학생활적응은 이들의 행복감에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 그 가운데 사회적응과 학업 적응의 경우 행복감에 상대적으로 더 긍정적인 영향력을 보였다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 대학생활적응이 학업 흥미와 행복감의 관계에서 부분매개효과를 갖는 것을 확인하였고, 학업흥미가 대학생활적응을 매개하여 행복 감에 영향을 미친다는 결과를 보였다. 본 연구를 통하여 예비유아교사들의 학업흥미가 높을수록 행복감이 높 아지며, 대학생활적응의 매개관계를 통해서도 행복감이 높아진다는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다는 점에 연구의 의의가 있다. 앞으로 예비유아교사의 행복감 향상을 위해 다양한 여러 변인과 다양한 지역의 더 많은 대상군에 대한 지속 연구를 제안한다.
