This study is a study on Korean sports-related museums, and the operation, management, and value of relics at the Daegwallyeong Ski History Museum were investigated through literature surveys, field surveys, and interviews. First, there is no state institution that can systematically manage various sports relics occurring in sports and sports-related competitions. Second, in the case of the Daegwallyeong Ski History Museum, traditional relics were systematically displayed, but in the case of sports relics, they were mixed and displayed without distinction between domestic and foreign. Third, there was a lack of professionals who could manage relics, so they were exposed to the risk of damage and loss. Fourth, even in the case of valuable relics, urgent measures are needed because preservation treatment and management are neglected. Finally, if it is operated in conjunction with the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics Memorial Hall, better management will be possible than now.

본 연구는 한국 체육 관련 박물관에 관한 연구로 대관령 스키역사관 운영 및 유물 현황, 관리, 유물의 가치 등을 문헌조사 및 현지 조사, 알 아보았고, 구체적 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 체육·스포츠 관련 대회에 서 발생되는 각종 체육 유물과 관련하여 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 국 가기관이 부재한 상황이다. 둘째, 대관령 스키역사관의 경우 전통 유물 은 체계적으로 전시되어 있으나 체육 유물의 경우 국내, 국외 등 구분이 없이 혼재되어 전시되어 있었다. 셋째, 유물을 관리할 수 있는 전문인력 이 부족하여 훼손, 망실의 위험에 그대로 노출되어 있었다. 넷째, 가치가 있는 유물의 경우에도 보존 처리 및 관리가 소홀하여 시급한 조치가 필 요하다. 마지막으로 2018평창동계올림픽대회 및 동계패럴림픽 기념관과 연계하여 운영하거나 통합하여 운영한다면 현재보다 나은 관리가 가능 할 것이다.
