This study tried to present the main criteria for exhibition development after analyzing experiential exhibitions with Vygotsky's theory. As for the research method, the perspective of educational criticism and the method of qualitative case study were taken. Among the exhibitions in major national and public children's museums, exhibitions that reflect cognitive, emotional, and social characteristics were selected as the exhibitions to be analyzed. The children's museums analyzed were the National Museum of Korea, the National Folk Museum of Korea, and the Seoul Sangsang Nara. Among them, the most popular exhibits were selected for the permanent exhibition, and among the special exhibitions, the exhibits that showed new attempts were selected by paying attention to the developer's intention. The analysis framework for these exhibitions was set in three units. It was the rules of play, the semantic system, and the emotional system. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the development criteria for play rules should include procedural knowledge, core concepts, creative activities, and state of immersion. Situational setting and meaning restructuring, self-esteem and perspective ability were required for the development criteria of the semantic system, and listening and empathy as well as mediation, facilitation, and sensitivity for mutual understanding were required for the final criteria for the development of the emotional system. Summarizing the results of the research, the main criteria for developing experiential exhibitions are, first, the improvement of thinking ability through children's perception of the real world, second, the need for developers to reinterpret exhibition contents, and third, active interaction between viewers It turns out that the contact zone of 'imaginary' that arises should be placed in the exhibition. This study has limitations in that it is an analysis of limited experiential exhibitions, but on the other hand, it is meaningful in terms of pedagogical analysis and reinterpretation of experiential exhibitions in children's museums.

본 연구는 체험전시를 비고츠키의 이론으로 분석한 뒤 전시개발의 주요 기준을 제시코자 하였다. 연구방법은 교육 비평의 관점과 질적 사례 연구방법을 취하였 다. 분석대상 전시로는 주요 국공립 어린이박물관의 전시 중 인지적, 정서적, 사회적 특성을 반영한 전시를 선정했다. 분석대상 어린이박물관은 국립중앙박물관, 국립민속박물관, 서울상상나라로 하였다. 이들 중 분석대상 전시는 상설전에서는 가장 인기있는 전시물을 택하였고, 특별전 중에서는 새로운 시도를 보인 전시로 개발자의 의도에 주목하여 선정하였다. 이들 전시에 대한 분석틀과 단위는 놀이규칙과 의미체계, 감정체계였다. 분석결과, 놀이규칙의 개발 기준에는 절차적 지식 과 핵심개념, 창조적 활동 및 몰입상태가 포함되어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 의미체계 개발기준에는 상황설정 및 의미의 재구성, 자아존종감과 조망능력이 필요하고, 마지막 감정체계 개발기준에는 중재와 촉진, 상호이해의 감수성만이 아니라 경청과 공감이었다. 연구결과를 종합하면, 체험전시개발의 주요 기준은 첫째, 어린이의 현실 세계 인식을 통한 사고력 향상에 두어야 하고, 둘째, 개발자들의 전시콘텐츠에 대한 재 해석이 필요하며, 셋째, 관람자 간 활발한 상호작용이 일어나는 ‘상상’의 접촉지대를 전시에 배치해야 할 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 한정된 체험전시 분석이라는 점에서 한계가 있고, 반면 의의라면, 어린이 박물관 체험전시의 교육학적 분석과 재해석에 있다.
