본 연구는 대학부설 평생교육기관에서 민속예술 수업사례를 통해 그 과정을 살펴보고 학습자 요구를 분석하여 새로운 민속예술 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법은 질적연구 측면에서 이루어진 사례연구를 기반으로 하였으며 2022년 1학기 서울 소재의 H대학 교 미래인재교육원의 학점은행제 교과목 <민속학 연구> 15주차 강의를 수강한 19명의 연구참 여자를 대상으로 예비조사를 실시하였으며 연구자료는 면접, 관찰기록, 설문지 등을 통해 다각 적인 수집이 이루어졌다. 이를 통해 학습자의 요구도와 평가를 반영하여 질적제고와 교육 효과 성을 높인 민속예술 교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 교육 프로그램은 2022년 2학기 <민속 학 연구>의 학습자들에게 적용되었으며 본 조사의 연구 참여자는 총 32명의 20대의 민속예술 비전공생이다. 교육 프로그램은 2022년 9~12월까지 매주 목요일 3시간 동안 총 45시간 이루어 졌으며 ‘민속예술’과 관련된 내용과 ‘평생교육’의 목적이 연계되도록 초점을 맞추어 수업이 진 행되었다. 이에 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째 성인학습자들의 특성을 고려하여 학습요구도, 학습동 기가 프로그램의 중요한 기틀마련에 도움을 주었다. 둘째 예비조사를 거친 교육프로그램은 총 15주차의 과정을 거쳤으며 목표 달성중심의 교육이 아닌 과정중심의 평가까지 이어질 수 있도 록 하였다. 특히 전공과 관련된 활동이 중심적으로 전개되었다. 셋째 본 프로그램은 토론중심의 발표수업, 디지털 기기 활용, 매체 활용 등 표현에 적극적인 학습자들의 참여중심의 교수학습방 법이 적용되었다. 본 연구는 대학부설 평생교육원을 대상으로 한 사례연구의 기록이라는 한계 점을 가지나 성인 학습자들의 민속예술 교육프로그램에 대한 관심을 촉구하는 측면에서 의의를 갖는다.
