In the Christian pastoral ministry field, preachers are faced with the task of presenting the biblical answers to the sufferings of believers. The narrative of the Book of Job presents the revealed word of God about the contradiction problem of innocent suffering that believers experience in this world. God's word on the problem of innocent suffering presented through the book of Job provides preachers with the biblical and theological basis for suffering. There is God's final goal in training and refining believers behind the scenes of suffering. It is to guide and invite believers in suffering to the glorious reigning throne of God who rules over all things in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The researcher will interpret the narrative of the Book of Job from the perspective of frame semantics and prepare a biblical basis for a homiletic strategy for preaching on suffering. According to frame semantics, mutually shared meanings in the process of communication are conveyed through contrast frames, allusive frames, and contradiction frames. As a key preaching strategy on the suffering of believers, the researcher tries to argue that behind the innocent suffering lies God's intention to invite believers to he redemption of the covenant people and the glorious reign of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
