This study aims to understand the Experience of returning to daily life of drug addicts and to find out policy and practical implications to support them. For this purpose, Collected data through in-depth interviews and observations of five recovering young men in their twenties were analyzed by applying the Giorgi’s phenomenological research method. The research result showed that participants relieved their anxiety, depression, stuffiness, boredom, and emptiness in their life through relying on drugs. Their daily life restoration turned out to be a dynamic process of recovery led by being subjected to change behavior and receive meaningful attention and support of other to escape from a hopeless situation mired in drugs. Based on the results and discussions, I suggested that family resources play an important role as a recovery capital for recovery program support, and the necessity for a 24-hour rehabilitation center to help drug addicts recover without family resources. This study is meaningful in that it approached the return to daily life of young men in their twenties and its contents with a phenomenological research method during the emerge of drug issue

이 연구는 20대 청년 마약중독자의 일상복귀 과정 경험을 이 해하고, 마약중독자의 회복을 지원하기 위한 정책적 실천적 함의 를 도출하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 회복 중인 20대 청년 5인의 심층 면담과 참여관찰을 중심으로 수집된 자료를 Giorgi 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 연구참여 자들은 마약과의 악연으로 삶에서 오는 불안과 우울함, 답답함, 지루함, 공허함을 마약으로 해소한 것으로 드러났다. 이들의 일 상복귀는 마약의 늪에 빠진 절망적 상황 속에서 벗어나기 위한 행위의 전환과 의미 있는 타인의 관심과 지지 속에서 변화의 주 체가 되어 회복을 이끌어가는 역동적인 과정으로 드러났다. 연구 결과와 논의를 중심으로 회복의 중요한 자산으로 가족자원이 핵 심적 역할을 하고, 가족자원이 부재한 마약중독자의 회복을 돕기 위한 24시간 재활시설의 필요성을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 청년 마약 이슈가 부각되고 있는 현시점에서 20대 청년의 일상복귀 과정과 그 내용을 현상학적 연구방법으로 접근하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
