There is increasing interest in applying metaverse to education. This study aims to examine whether secondary school students have experienced metaverse in their actual lives, whether they continue to use it after that, and what attitudes they have towards each element of metaverse depending on their gender and school level. To do this, a literature review was conducted on the educational potential of metaverse and the recognition of metaverse among teachers, followed by a survey using an expanded technology acceptance model based on 72 items to measure each factor of metaverse. The survey was conducted on 197 secondary school students. The results were then confirmed through Cronbach's alpha and confirmatory factor analysis and further analyzed through statistical analysis including independent sample t-tests. The results show that 97.5% of secondary school students responded that they have experienced metaverse, and 97.9% confirmed that they are currently using metaverse. The conclusion also presents the characteristics of each factor of metaverse and the participants' gender and grade group.

메타버스를 교육에 적용하기 위한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이 연구는 중고등학생들이 그들의 실제 삶에서 메타버스를 경험해보았는지, 이후에도 계속 사용하고 있는지, 그리고 성별과 학교급에 따라 메타버스의 각 요소에 대해 어떠한 태도 를 가지고 있는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 메타버스의 교육적 활용 가능성에 관한 문헌과 메타버스에 대한 교수자들의 인식에 대한 문헌을 살펴보았으며 이후 중고등학생 197명을 대상으로 메타버스의 각 요인을 측정하기 위한 확장된 기술수용 모델을 근거로 한 72개 항목을 사용하여 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 이후 크론바흐 알파와 확인적 요인분석을 통해 사용한 모델의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확인한 후 독립 표본 t-검정을 포함하는 통계 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 중고등학생의 97.5%가 메타버스를 경험한 적이 있다고 응답하였으며, 이 중 97.9%가 현재도 메타버스를 사용하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 메타버스의 각 요인과 참여자의 성별 및 학년군에 따른 특성을 포함한 결론을 제시한다
