As a school physical activity, dance is mostly focused on physical expression activities, so it is difficult to find examples of classes that explore society or culture through dance. This study designed a convergence class of English, reading, and physical education with the theme of dance in the subject-centered project-learning convergence class of the school autonomous curriculum according to the flexibility of the high school class amount. An in-depth analysis was conducted focusing on the research participants' activity diaries and interviews. As a result, it was analyzed that it is possible to cultivate creative thinking competency, aesthetic sensitivity competency, and cooperative communication competency, which are core competencies pursued through the whole process of school education in Korea. Through this, it was confirmed that dance can be used not only as a body expression activity, but also as a subject that can cultivate core competencies pursued in the curriculum. At the time of the implementation of the high school credit system in which students' autonomous inquiry activities are strengthened, research on the history of dance, philosophical and social studies, and convergence classes in the field of appreciation should be continuously developed and disseminated.

학교체육활동으로서 무용은 대부분 신체표현활동으로 초점이 맞춰져 있기에 무용을 통해 사회나 문화를 탐색 한 수업사례는 찾아보기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구는 고등학교 수업량유연화에 따른 학교자율적 교육과정의 주제중 심 프로젝트학습형 융합수업에 무용을 주제로 영어, 독서, 체육교과의 융합수업을 설계하고 이를 일반계고등학 교 2학년 적용하여 수업한 운영사례를 연구참여자의 활동일지 및 인터뷰를 중심으로 심층분석 하였다. 그 결 과 우리나라 학교 교육 전 과정을 통해 중점적으로 추구하는 핵심역량인 심미적 감성 역량, 협력적 소통 역량, 창의적 사고 역량, 공동체 역량을 함양할 수 있음이 분석되었다. 이를 통해 무용이 신체표현활동을 뿐만 아니 라, 교육과정에서 추구하는 핵심역량을 함양시킬 수 있는 주제로 활용될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 학생들 의 자율적 탐구활동이 강화되는 고교학점제가 시행되는 시점에서 무용의 역사, 철학적, 사회적 연구물, 감상영 역에서의 융합수업에 관한 연구가 지속적으로 개발 보급되어야 할 것이다.
