The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of perceived discrimination on depression and the mediating effect of social support on the relationship between perceived discrimination and depression of immigrant workers. For this purpose, 124 immigrant workers in A Province participated and the results are as follows. First, perceived discrimination had a significant effect on depression. Second, social support mediated the relationship between perceived discrimination and depression. Specifically, significant others of immigrant workers partially mediated the relationship between perceived discrimination and depression. Based on these results, limitations and the implications for future studies are discussed.

본 연구는 국내 이주노동자의 지각된 차별감이 우울에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 지 각된 차별감과 우울 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 이를 위해 A 광역시에 거주하는 124명의 이주노동자를 대상을 설문을 실시하였고, 설문을 분석 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이주노동자가 지각하는 차별감은 우울에 직접적인 영향 을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 지지는 지각된 차별감과 우울의 관계를 부적 으로 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 이주노동자에게 중요한 이의 지지 가 지각된 차별감과 우울의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연 구의 제한점과 추후 연구에 대한 방향성에 대해 논의하였다.
