Senior entrepreneurs are drawing attention not only to the satisfaction of individual founders’ lives, but also to job problems in the aging era and national economic prosperity. The possibility of Senior start-ups can be highly evaluated, and in reality, the survival rate of Senior start-ups is higher than that of young start-ups. Therefore, it is necessary to be interested in senior entrepreneurs and seek ways to create results for senior entrepreneurs. In this study, the mediating effect of human capital on the relationship between start-up competency and start-up performance was analyzed for Senior entrepreneurs. Startup competencies were reestablished and measured in terms of dynamic competencies such as market orientation, network competencies, and entrepreneurial competencies. As a result of the analysis, the market orientation and founder’s ability of senior entrepreneurs affected human capital, and human capital had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance. In contrast, the network capabilities of senior entrepreneurs did not have a positive effect on human capital.

중장년 창업은 창업가 개인의 삶의 만족도뿐만 아니라 고령화 시대의 일자리 문제, 국가 경제 번영 등에서 도 주목받고 있다. 중장년 창업의 가능성은 높게 평가될 수 있으며 실재로 중장년 창업의 창업 생존율은 청년 창업에 비해 높다. 따라서 중장년 창업가에 관심을 갖고, 중장년 창업가의 성과 창출을 위한 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 중장년 창업가를 대상으로 창업역량과 창업성과간의 관계에서 인적자본이 미치는 매개효과 를 분석하였다. 창업역량은 시장지향성과 네트워크역량, 창업자능력 등 동적역량 측면에서 창업역량을 재정립 하여 측정하였다. 분석결과 중장년 창업가의 시장지향성과 창업자 능력은 인적자본에 영향을 미쳤고, 인적자 본은 재무성과와 비재무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 비해서 중장년 창업가의 네트워크 역량은 인적 자본에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 않았다.
