The purpose of this study is to develop fashion illustration works using the metal laser cutting technique, and fetish fashion was used as the theme of the works. As a research method for this purpose, both literature research and practical research were attempted. After examining the characteristics and examples of metal laser cutting techniques and fetish fashion through literature research, six actual works of fashion illustration using metal laser cutting techniques were developed as an empirical study. The results of this study are as follows: First, using the metal laser cutting technique for fashion illustration resulted in the effects of three-dimensionality, spatiality, penetrability, reproducibility, overlap, optical illusion, precision, clarity, and completeness. These effects enabled the characteristics of fetish fashion items to be creatively expressed. Second, the metal surface processing technique allowed for various colors to be expressed when using the metal laser cutting technique, without being limited to the original color of the metal. Third, when using the metal laser cutting technique, the glossy and cold surface texture of the metal material could be changed into various feelings through surface processing, and the work could have excellent durability and preservation due to the solid physical properties of the metal material. Fourth, the utilization of the metal laser cutting technique in fashion illustration provides a new aesthetic experience to the viewer, and due to the ease of reproducing the works, it has the potential for commercial development as a cultural art product. Thus, it can be considered a valuable expression method for both artistic and commercial purposes. This study has a research significance in that it presented an extended expressive style of fashion illustration, and it can be used as a reference material in related follow-up research and education field.

이 연구는 금속 레이저 컷팅 기법을 활용한 패션 일 러스트레이션 작품 개발을 목적으로 하였으며, 페티시 패션을 작품의 테마로 활용하였다. 이를 위한 연구방법 으로 문헌연구와 작품연구를 실시하였다. 문헌 연구를 통해 금속 레이저 컷팅 기법 및 페티시 패션의 특성과 사례를 고찰한 후 실증적 연구로서 금속 레이저 컷팅 기법을 활용한 패션 일러스트레이션 실물 작품 6점을 개발하였다. 이 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 금속 레이저 컷 팅 기법을 패션 일러스트레이션에 활용함으로써 입체 성, 공간성, 투과성, 복제성, 중첩성, 착시성, 정교성, 명료성, 완결성의 효과를 얻을 수 있었고, 페티시 패션 아이템의 조형적 특성을 독창적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 둘째, 금속 레이저 컷팅 기법의 활용 시 금속 표면 가 공 기법을 통해 금속 본연의 색상에 국한되지 않고 다 양한 색상을 표현할 수 있었다. 셋째, 금속 레이저 컷 팅 기법의 활용 시 금속 소재가 지닌 유광의 차가운 표면 질감을 표면 가공을 통해 다양한 느낌으로 변화시 킬 수 있었고 금속 소재의 견고한 물성으로 인해 작품 에 우수한 내구성과 보존성을 부여할 수 있었다. 넷째, 패션 일러스트레이션에서 금속 레이저 컷팅 기법의 활 용은 관람자에게 새로운 미적 경험을 제공하고, 작품의 재현이 용이하여 문화예술상품으로서의 상업적 개발 가 능성도 지니므로 예술적‧상업적 측면에서 유용한 표현 방법이라 할 수 있다. 이 연구는 패션 일러스트레이션 의 확장된 표현 양식을 제시하였다는 점에서 연구 의의 를 지니며 관련 후속 연구 및 교육 현장에서 참고 자 료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
