A proposal for the implementation of PKI Framework in developing countries – Case of the Republic of Ghana

This paper reconnoiters the growth of Ghana’s E-government system for government agencies and proposes the implementation of appropriate security systems using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The article discusses security components such as encryption, digital signatures, digital certificates, public/private key pairs, non-repudiation, and time-stamping. Most of these will be benched marked from Korea E-government PKI and other security systems. The research will provide a practical insight to policy-makers and practitioners in Ghana government agencies to design government PKI for effective adaptation of E-government security.
