This study was conducted to examine the mediating effect of the service value on the relationship between Taekwondo gym selection quality and gym satisfaction. To this end, it administered questionnaires to 384 trainees and their parents, who play important roles in selecting Taekwondo gyms. The findings are as follows: First, there were partially positive correlations among the Taekwondo gym selection quality, the gym satisfaction and the service value. Second, the selection motivation among the Taekwondo gym selection quality had a positive effect on all sub-variables of the program satisfaction and the location satisfaction. The quality service has a positive effect on the gym satisfaction. The gym publicity had a positive effect on coach satisfaction, facility satisfaction and the location satisfaction. The member management had a positive effect on the coach satisfaction and the facility satisfaction. Third, the Taekwondo gym selection quality had a positive effect on the service value. Fourth, the Taekwondo gym selection quality did not only have a positive effect on the gym satisfaction, but also had an indirect effect on the gym satisfaction via the service value.

본 연구는 태권도장 선택품질과 도장만족의 관계에서 서비스가치의 매개효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두고 실시하 였다. 이를 위해 태권도장의 선택역할에 중요 역할을 하는 수련생 384명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 태권도장의 선택품질과 도장만족 및 서비스 가치의 상관관계 분석결과 부분적인 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 태권도장의 선택품질 중 선택동기는 프로그램만족과 위치만족에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 품질서비스는 도장만족의 하위 변인 모두에서 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 도장홍보는 지도자만족, 시설만족, 위치만족에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 회원관리는 지도자만족과 시설만족에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 태권도장의 선택품질은 서비스가치에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 태권도장의 선택품질은 도장만족에 직접적인 정적 영향을 미치기도 하지만 서비스가치를 경유하여 도장 만족에 간접적으로도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
