This article presents an analysis of the media content "Work Later, Drink Now,” focusing on its representation of "The Korean's drinking culture” and its impact on harmful alcohol use. The study identifies several problematic aspects of the drama, including violations of the Youth Protection Act, misrepresentation of educational information, and non-compliance with the WHO's SAFER program for reducing harmful alcohol use. The article also highlights the drama's promotion of group drinking culture and the selective portrayal of certain alcoholic beverages. Despite the WHO's efforts to reduce harmful alcohol use, the article notes that the drama actively promotes the idea that alcohol is not harmful to individuals or society. The article concludes by highlighting the challenges faced by the WHO in achieving its goal of reducing alcohol consumption by 10% among member countries by 2025, and the predicted increase in alcohol consumption based on current trends.
