Korean society in the 1990s and 2000s was a male-centered society, and there was a lack of social records for women. In the art world, it was difficult to find something that focused on women. It was difficult to find outstanding activities by women leaders in academia or art groups, and there was a shortage of female artists who dealt with social issues women faced. Through the artists of the 1990s, Yun Seok-nam and Lee Bul, we studied the situation of the times and the social participation of the artists' works that tried to overcome it. The reason why their claim is regarded as an activity that leads to social change is because they took the perspective of women who were alienated in the era as a material, reflected it, and left it as a work. Their announcement became the cornerstone of creating a more horizontal gender equality society. There were feminist art movements before and after, but the attempts of these two female painters are more meaningful because they described the social reality at the time from the female painter's point of view. Through the works of Korean female painters who expressed the feminist perspective, I studied the social structure and its relevance.

1990~2000년대 한국 사회는 남성 중심 사회였으며 여성에 대한 사회기록이 부족했다. 미술계 역시 여성을 중심으로 다루는 것은 찾기 어려웠다. 학계나 미술 단체 리더 여성의 활동은 두드러진 것을 찾기 어려웠고, 여 성이 처한 사회적 화제를 작품으로 다루던 여성 화가도 부족했다. 90년대 화가로 윤석남, 이불 화가를 통해 당 시 시대 상황과 이를 극복하고자 했던 작가 작품의 사회참여에 관해 연구하였다. 그녀들의 주장이 사회변화를 이끄는 활동으로 보는 이유는, 당시 시대에서 소외되던 여성 관점을 소재로 삼고 반영하며 작품으로 남겼기 때 문이다. 그녀들의 발표는 더 수평적 성 평등 사회를 만드는 초석이 되었다. 여성주의 미술운동이 이전과 이후 에도 있었으나 이 두 명 여성 화가들의 시도는 당시 사회 현실을 여성 화가의 관점에서 서술했기 때문에 더 의미가 있다. 여성주의 관점을 표현한 한국의 여성화가 작품을 통해 사회구조와 연관성을 연구했다.
