This study sought an efficient education plan for honorific expression for beginner Korean learners. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the university's Korean language textbook and the four levels of the Internationally Accepted Standard Korean Language Education Model were compared to derive problems and discuss ways to educate learners more efficiently. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a difference between the list of honorific expression of Korean textbooks by university and the Internationally Accepted Standard Korean Language Education Model. This should be improved later. Second, for learners' active participation in learning, honorific expression videos were provided before learning, teachers delivered accurate honorific expression knowledge, and learners proposed ways to increase the efficiency of education through the process of implementing honorific expression images. Since Korean honorific expression is an important language expression for understanding Korean emotions and culture, it should be taught as a unit in the educational field and can be used naturally through various experiences related to honorific expression.

이 연구는 초급 한국어 학습자들을 대상으로 높임 표현을 효율적으로 교육할 수 있는 방안을 탐색한 것이 다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 대학의 한국어교재와 국제통용 한국어교육 표준모형 4단계의 높임 표현을 비교하여 문제점을 도출해보고, 학습자들에게 좀 더 효율적으로 높임 표현을 교육할 수 있는 방안에 대 해 논의하였다. 이 연구에서는 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 각 대학의 한국어교재와 국제통용 한국어교육 표준 모형의 높임 표현 목록에서 차이가 있었는데, 이는 추후 개선되어야 한다. 둘째, 학습자들의 능동적인 학습 참 여를 위해 학습 전에 높임 표현 영상을 제공하고 교실 수업에서는 교사가 정확한 높임 표현 지식을 전달하고 학습자들은 높임 표현 사용 상황을 이미지화해 보는 과정을 통해 교육의 효율을 높이는 방안을 제안하였다. 한 국어 높임 표현은 한국인의 정서와 문화를 이해하는 데 중요한 언어 표현이기 때문에 교육 현장에서도 하나의 단원으로 교육해야 하며, 높임 표현과 관련된 여러 가지 체험으로 자연스럽게 높임 표현을 쓸 수 있도록 해야 한다.
