This study aims to determine whether it is possible to expand the scope of various expression techniques in fashion illustrations, which is researched through fashion illustrations designed to deliver hopeful messages by using the characteristics of mixed media and psychedelic art. Since the mixed media is a new technique for expressing different images, its utilization is regarded to expand the scope of expression techniques of fashion illustrations. In addition, in order to relieve the psychological depression caused by COVID-19, a social problem in the current situation, it aims to borrow the characteristics of the fantastic and dreamy atmosphere of psychedelic art. Theoretical research includes literature review, precedent research, and Internet data analysis, which examined the concept and expression techniques of mixed media and those of psychedelic art. Using the mixed media technique, four fashion illustrations were actually produced based on the characteristics of psychedelic art. The results are as follows. To express the theme, the everyday life of the four seasons was expressed as a motif based on optical illusion, playfulness, and mystique among the characteristics of psychedelic art. Based on this, the message of Back-to-Normal was humorously expressed by recreating the joy of being happy into a virtual image by remembering the everyday life before the pandemic. For this, various materials and mixed media techniques were used. In order to deliver the hopeful message of Back-to-Normal in the post-pandemic era, this study produced and presented psychedelic fashion illustrations using the mixed media to deliver a hopeful messages and confirm its availability as a creative and new expression technique. The study proposed a variety of techniques for expressing fashion illustrations according to the theme, which will not only deliver the hopeful messages but also help produce creative fashion illustrations.

본 연구의 목적은 패션 일러스트레이션의 다양한 표현기법에 관한 영역의 확대가 가능한지를 믹스트 미디 어 기법과 사이키델릭 아트의 특성을 활용하여 희망적인 메시지 전달이란 주제로 제작한 패션 일러스트레이 션을 통해 규명하는 데 있다. 믹스트 미디어 기법은 색다른 이미지 표현을 위한 새로운 기법이므로, 이를 활용하여 시도해 봄으로써 패션 일러스트레이션의 표현기법 영역 확대가 가능하리라 사료된다. 더불어 현 상황의 사회적 문제인 코로나로 인한 심리적 우울감을 해소하기 위해 사이키델릭 아트의 환상적이면서 몽환 적인 분위기의 특성을 차용하기 위함이었다. 연구 방법은 이론적 연구와 실제적 제작 연구로 진행하였다. 이론적 연구는 문헌 및 선행연구, 인터넷 자료 등을 통해 믹스트 미디어의 개념 및 표현기법과 사이키델릭 아트의 개념 및 특성에 관해 고찰하였다. 고찰한 믹스트 미디어 기법을 활용하여 사이키델릭 아트의 특성을 기반으로 패션 일러스트레이션 작품 4점을 실제 제작하였다. 패션 일러스트레이션의 제작은 재료 및 채색 도구를 비롯한 일상의 오브제를 혼합하여 사용하였고, 색상은 사이키델릭 아트에서 주로 사용하는 원색의 강렬한 색채, 형광 색조와 사계절을 상징하는 색상을 주로 사용하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 주제를 표현 하기 위해 사이키델릭 아트의 특성 중 착시성, 유희성, 신비성을 기반으로, 사계절의 일상을 모티프로 표현하 였다. 이를 바탕으로 현실의 모습을 팬데믹 이전의 일상을 기억하며 행복해지는 즐거움을 다양한 재료와 믹 스트 미디어 기법 중 첨가기법, 반발기법, 제거 및 결합기법을 활용하여 가상의 이미지로 재창조하여 일상 회복이라는 메시지를 유머러스하게 표현하였다. 본 연구를 통해 포스트 팬데믹 시대의 일상 회복이란 희망적 메시지를 전달하기 위해 믹스트 미디어 기법을 활용한 사이키델릭 패션 일러스트레이션을 제작하여 제시함 으로써 희망적 메시지 전달은 물론 창의적이고 새로운 표현기법으로써의 활용성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연 구는 주제에 따라 패션 일러스트레이션을 표현하는 다양한 기법을 제안함으로써 메시지 전달은 물론 독창적 인 패션 일러스트레이션을 제작하는 데 도움이 되리라 사료된다.
