This study tried to capture the process of choosing a satisfactory path for themselves while studying and exercising in parallel with exercise and study through the life of student athletes in Korean society, and the conclusions are as follows. First, in a situation where it is realistically difficult for student athletes to combine sports and studies due to national policy, the participants chose two paths while finding their own way. Second, he went from being a promising athlete to a regular student to a university that everyone envied, but chose the life of an athlete again and wore the Taegeuk mark on his chest. Third, the life of the participants who gave their best in what they decided to do and were satisfied with the result created a situation in which they could be objectively recognized in terms of academics and sports.

본 연구는 한국 사회에서 학생 선수의 삶을 통해 운동과 공부를 병행 하는 모습과 참여자가 공부와 운동을 병행하면서 스스로 만족스러운 길 을 선택하는 과정을 담아내고자 했으며 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가 정책으로 학생선수가 운동과 학업을 병행하기는 현실적으로 어려운 상 황에서 참여자는 스스로 방법을 찾으며 두 길을 선택하였다. 둘째, 전도 유망(前途有望)한 선수에서 일반학생으로 모두가 부러워하는 대학에 진 학했으나 다시 운동선수의 삶을 택하여 태극마크를 가슴에 달았다. 셋 째, 한 번 결심한 일에 최선을 다하고 결과에 만족하는 참여자의 삶은 학업과 운동면에서 객관적으로 인정받을 수 있는 상황을 만들었다.
