This study is a thesis on the integration of psychological and theological perspectives of projection, a self-defense mechanism. Noting that the individual's indiscriminate projection is an obstacle to the recovery of the core self, the researcher explored theories that explain the nature of psychology and the structure of the mind in relation to projection, and attempted a psychological and theological therapeutic approach to projection. Virginia Satir noted the use of the metaphor of the iceberg in the process of family therapy, and Carl Gustav Jung's description of the model of personality and the structure of the mind. Satir's inner exploration and Jung's model of the structure of the mind are described as a search for the true self of man, the image of God. Jung presented the process of attaining the true self as an element that avoids and unites the division of the human mind in relation to the unconscious. In other words, Jung understands the relationship between self and consciousness, the unconscious and shadow, and the consciousness of anima and animus as assimilation into consciousness as a mode of experience called projection. Satir noted that the stage of iceberg search is to find the core self that sustains itself deep in the soul. The iceberg exploration of the Satir model is that it goes through the stages of action, emotion, perception, expectation and aspiration, and finally experiences the core self. The search process is the process of searching for the core self, the superficial behavior of human beings expresses emotions, perceptions, expectations, and aspirations, and the unresolved dysfunctional source of human beings has a lot to do with self-esteem, communication methods, family rules, etc. Satir concentrates on the iceberg expedition as an encounter by immediacy of the now-here, in contact with concepts and in contact with the true self. This is embodied in the theoretical concepts of Gestalt, and in particular the researcher has sought an alternative approach in the psychological mechanisms of projection. Projection means that a part of oneself, such as aggression and impulsivity that is difficult to accept, is transferred to external objects, transferred to the behaviors, desires, thoughts, and characteristics of others, and ends up blaming others. In this study, we studied the meaning of projection as a clinical axis and its relationship to psychological intervention and theological perspectives. In particular, in the scene of the Samaritan woman conversing with Jesus Christ, the projection of the unconscious works in the woman's consciousness to face the painful reality and restore her self-image as a broken image of God, her relationship with her neighbor, and her desire for life to be restored as a new creature. The significance of this study is that it examined the meaning of projection in the psychological and theological background of pastoral counseling and considered how to provide pastoral care through it.

본 연구는 자아방어기제인 투사가 가진 심리적이고 신학적인 관점의 통합에 관한 고찰이다. 연구자는 개인이 은연중에 작동되는 투사가 핵심적 자아를 회복하는 방해 요인이라는 점에 주목하여, 투사와 관련하여 심리학의 성격과 마음의 구조를 설명하 는 이론들을 탐색하고 투사에 대한 심리적이며 신학적인 치료적 접근 방식을 시도하 였다. 그 대표적인 예로 버지니아 사티어는 가족치료 과정에서 심리내적 탐험 즉 빙산의 메타포를 활용한 점과, 칼 구스타프 융이 인격과 마음의 구조라는 모형을 설명한 점 에 주목하였다. 사티어의 심리내적 탐험과 융의 마음 구조에 관한 모형은 하나님의 형상을 가진 인간의 참자기를 찾아가는 과정으로 설명한다. 융은 인간 정신의 분열을 지양하고 통합하게 하는 요소로서 참 자기에 이르는 과정을 무의식과 관련하여 제시 하였다. 즉 융은 자아와 의식의 관계, 무의식과 그림자 및 아니마와 아니무스의 의식 화가 투사라는 체험양식으로 의식에 동화되는 것이라고 이해한다. 사티어는 빙산 탐색의 단계가 영혼 깊은 곳에서 자신을 지탱하는 핵심적인 자아를 발견한다는 점에 주목하였다. 사티어 모델의 빙산 탐색은 행동, 감정, 감정에 대한 감 정, 지각, 기대와 열망의 단계를 거쳐 마지막으로 핵심적인 자아를 경험하게 된다는 점이다. 이러한 탐색 과정은 핵심적인 자아를 찾아가는 과정으로, 인간의 표면적 행동 양식은 감정과 지각과 기대와 열망을 표현하며, 미해결된 인간의 역기능적인 근원은 자존감, 의사소통의 방식, 가족 규칙 등과 깊은 관련이 있다는 것이다. 사티어는 빙산 탐색을 지금-여기의 즉시성에 의한 만남으로 개념들과 접촉되며 참 자기와 접촉된다 는 점에 집중한다. 이는 게슈탈트의 이론적 개념에서 구체화 하고 있는데 특히 연구자는 투사의 심리 적 기제에서 그 대안적 접근 방식을 찾았다. 투사는 수용하기 힘든 공격성과 충동 등 자신의 일부를 외부 대상에게 전가하여 타인의 행동, 욕구, 생각, 특성으로 돌려 남 탓으로 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 임상적 축으로서의 투사가 지니는 의미와 심리적 개입 및 신학적 관점과의 연관성에 관해 연구하였다. 특히 예수그리스도와 대화하는 사마리아 여자의 장면에서 무의식의 투사물이 여자의 의식 안에 어떻게 작용하고 있는지, 아픈 현실에 마주한 여자의 자아상이 어떻게 하나님의 형상으로 회복되는지, 새로운 피조물로 그 녀가 어떻게 삶의 의미와 열정이 회복되고 이웃과의 관계가 새로워지는지에 주목하였 다. 그러므로 본 연구는 목회상담의 심리학적이며 신학적 배경에서 투사에 관한 의미 를 고찰하고 이를 통한 목회적 돌봄 방안에 관하여 고민해 보았다는 데에 의의를 두고 있다.
