This is a study on researcher’s dance work . It is a work that expresses the problem of modern space and the subject matter of human relations by applying Lao-tzu's idea on empty space. The process of visual perception and the choreography method on philosophical ideas with a body has a purpose for research as a material for various choreographic methods. applies Laozi's ideas of ‘way(道)’, ‘name(名)’, ‘greatness(大)’, and ‘mystery(玄)’ to achieve the composition of the work development and the expressiveness of object, music, and space. In Chapter 1, the fetus and the feminine direction are emphasized as a space of creation, and emptiness and filling are choreographed while centering on the changed angle. The space of the difference or Chapter 2 emphasizes the mobility of separation and isolation by establishing human relations in an isolated space with philosophical concepts in reverse usage. Chapter 3 is the space of the relationship and the boundary is dismantled by emptying the space when dancers deliver the object of string to the audience after the object is dismantled. It illustrates a direct relationship by allowing the audience to enter the stage. In conclusion, it is possible to examine the characteristic choreography method of the dance work . First, Hall 1, the performance venue is emptied in its original form to utilize the space of daily life, not the fantasy of the play. Rather, it allows the diversity of expressiveness by using a door and a mirror. Second, a new way of expressiveness of movement was implemented through impromptu group dance of correlational relationship rather than contact one. Third, by dismantling the roles of the audience and dancers, the audience were allowed to directly participate in the play. What to focus on in choreography directly affects the choreography method. The choreography of space and human relations centered on oriental philosophy will be a part of the diversity of choreography with Strong Metaphor, and this study hopes to be helpful for creative capacity.

본 연구는 본 연구자의 무용작품 『사이』 에 관한 연구이다. 비움공간에 대한 노자 사상을 적용하여 현 대 공간의 문제성과 인간관계라는 주제성을 표현한 작품이다. 철학적 관념을 몸으로 시지각화 과정과 안 무방식은 다양한 안무적 방식에 하나의 자료로써 연구 목적을 가진다. 『사이』 는 노자의 ‘도(道)와 명(名)’, ‘대(大)’, ‘현(玄)’을 적용하여 작품전개의 구성과 오브제, 음악, 공간의 표현성을 이루었다. 1장 생성의 공 간으로 태아와 여성적 방향을 강조하였으며, 변각구도를 중심으로 비움과 채움을 안무하였다. 2장 차이 의 공간으로 철학적 개념을 역으로 활용하여 고립된 공간에서의 인간관계를 설정하여 분리와 고립의 움 직임성을 강조하였다. 3장 관계의 공간으로 오브제를 해체하고 관객에게 끈 오브제를 무용수가 전달함으 로써 공간을 비우면서 관계를 이루도록 하였다. 이는 관객이 무대 안으로 들어오게 함으로써 직접적 관 계를 표현한 것이다. 결론적으로 『사이』 무용작품의 특징적 안무방식을 살펴볼 수 있다. 첫째, 공연 장소 인 홀Ⅰ을 원형적으로 그대로 비움으로써 극의 환상성이 아닌 일상의 공간을 활용했다. 그래서 오히려 공간에 있는 문과 거울을 활용하여 표현성을 다양화할 수 있게 했다. 둘째, 접촉이 아닌 상관적 관계의 즉흥적 군무를 통해 새로운 방식의 움직임 표현력을 구현하도록 했다. 셋째, 보기만 하는 관객과 무용수 의 역할을 해체함으로써 관객은 극에 직접적으로 참여할 수 있도록 하였다. 어떠한 것에 중점을 두고 안 무할 것인지는 안무방식에 직접적으로 영향을 미친다. 메타포가 강한 동양 사상을 중심으로 안무한 것은 안무법의 다양성에 한 부분을 차지할 것이며, 창작 역량에 본 연구가 도움이 되길 바란다. 더불어 본 작 품은 그것을 해석하고 몸으로 시지각화 하는 안무법이다. 이는 관념의 시각화라는 하나의 안무법을 제시하는 데 목적과 필요성이 있다. 그리고 본 연구자의 안무방식을 구축하는데 기본적 연구로 의미 를 지닌다.
